Scenic Rivers Motel — Hotel in Ellington

My wife, 3 boys, my parents, and I all stayed two nights at this motel for the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8. After previous accommodations completely fell through (don't get me started on that debacle), I had to scramble to find accommodations in the total solar eclipse path that are able to accommodate my family but also not jacking up their rates for the eclipse.||Scenic Rivers came through and then some! Heather is the owner and absolutely amazing to work with! She had two rooms next to each other for us and excellent rates!||For a small town motel, and I believe the only motel in town, this place is kept up very nicely! The rooms are on the small side so if you have a family of more than 4, it will feel a little crammed. But we managed.||The rooms are clean, mostly updated, but most importantly well maintained.||Let's just say Heather and her family do a tremendous job and put in a ton of hard work to keep this motel looking great.||Ellington is a nice little town and a good gateway to area rivers and springs and also the off-roading trails. This is a non-assuming little Motel that will surprise you with its cleanliness and well appointed rooms. Beds are comfy, too. Tons of parking should you bring a trailer. We brought four and had enough room. Heather, the owner, welcomes you with a chat and a smile and can give you all sorts of recommendations on what to do, where to go, where to eat. Ellington has a great breakfast restaurant, the Double AA. Checo's, an excellent Mexican Restaurant, is right across the street from the hotel. The hotel has an outdoor patio where guests can gather or simply watch the hummingbird feeders. If you are lucky, Oscar the cat may make an appearance, too. This was by far the most tranquil place that we have ever stayed. The owner was super nice and very professional. The room was so clean and organized; it had practically everything that you wanted except for maybe a few more pillows. But the bed was great and my husband and I talked about that little place all the way home. Like we would just stay there for a get-away!!! It was a very awesome, tranquil, and unique place. Of course you entered your room from the outside instead of an interior hall way...but seemed to me that it was quieter that way than hearing slamming doors at night and all night long.
