THIS IS AN UPDATED REVIEW AS OF 9/27/25. WE HAD POSTED A POSITIVE REVIEW 4 YEARS AGO. If there were ZERO STARS that would be the rating. We paid for a reservation for our daughter and granddaughter to have a room. I used our Wyndham Rewards card so we could earn points. When I booked the room it was my error that I didn't know she had to have OUR card to check in. Instead of the gentleman at the front desk bothering to reach out to me to find out how we could reconcile the situation, my daughter and granddaughter were PHYSICALLY REMOVED from their room! She called me in tears from the parking lot. I called and spoke to a very rude gentleman who condescendingly explained that I had booked the room incorrectly and emailed me a form to sign then hung up. I called back to explain that we were about 20 minutes from somewhere for me to print out, complete and sign the form and send it back. The phone went to voicemail-I left a message then I called back again...went to voicemail. Called back a 3rd time and the call was picked up then hung up. Our daughter had gone back into the hotel before I called back the 1st time as I told her we would take car of things-she texted me and said she was standing there with them and he was seeing the phone ring and would not answer it purposely!! They have caller ID as he read my phone number back to me and had said he would call me back once he received the form so I am sure he was aware it was me calling. I called back a 4th time and a young lady answered the phone. She admitted it was her fault for them being able to go to the room as she is new and was told by that guy that she messed up. I feel very bad for her having to work with this guy. I was pretty hot and asked for his name-she said she wasn't able to tell me his name (assuming he was standing there beside her). I completely understand the fraud possibility HOWEVER, I suggested that they maybe reach out to the person who BOOKED the room with that card and try to get things straightened out rather than put our daughter and granddaughter thru the humiliation and stress of something that was in no way their fault! I'm guessing the voicemail I left will be deleted before anyone else hears it so I'm hoping that "RITU" (the name that was listed as the manager) reads this review and has some words with that guy! In any case I'll be calling back next week to this location as well as to Wingate corporate offices. May karma visit you in due time, young man.... ANOTHER UPDATE - Our daughter informed us they charged HER credit card $50 for a room...
Read moreOwner: I find your response to be a low blow…. you claim that my review of our brief visit to your property was untrue? What about it was untrue? If you go to the room we had and pool area, you’ll clearly see my review is spot on. Once entering the room, you’ll see the stain I was referring too on the right, right past the microwave on the table/lamp. Dark brown liquid stain that looked to be coffee. It’s a large stain, you can’t miss it. The first thing we normally do when entering a hotel room is check the beds, and one of your comforters did in fact several black specks on it, not the mattress, just the comforter as I had stated. The room is outdated but other than the two issues that stuck out to us, it did seem clean. Since we were only in the room long enough to change, I didn’t do a thorough exam of every inch of the room to find any other mishaps. You admitted the pool temperature was below what it should have been (way below may I add)….yes you could have turned the temperature up, but it would have taken more than the duration of our stay for the temperature to come up to be atleast somewhat tolerable to enjoy, and since the pool is the only reason we booked, it was fair to ask for a refund or atleast a partial amount since the problem was out of my control. Yes, as a pool owner myself, and the fact that we travel several times throughout the year and have the pleasure of staying in many different properties, I understand bugs get into the pool, but ive never seen centipedes much less that many in a hotel pool. If someone was tending to the pool regularly as they should have been, then all those bugs wouldn’t have been in there and the temperature would have been somewhat warm instead of ice cold. And you claim we used amenities. I wouldn’t go that far, we attempted to use the amenities that we paid for but was unsuccessful in doing so. Which is a shame because the room itself is overpriced (but I was willing to pay because of the amenities I was told I would be offered and the pool was the only request my daughters had when searching to book a room) When we couldnt enjoy the amenities because of no fault of my own, yes we asked for a refund so I could go elsewhere for the specific amenities we were looking for. I was right in doing so, and $240 for less than an hour is absolutely ridiculous when it...
Read moreWe are a mobility impaired couple who stayed the night of Saturday, November 19, 2022. We checked in around 10:00 p.m. after traveling from just east of Columbus, OH. The hotel is in northern KY near the Cincinnati Airport in Erlanger. We took a king sized handicapped accessible room. The entire hotel is NON Smoking which is necessary and great for those with allergies/asthma.
Great location, rather convenient with easy access to Interstate 71/75. Although close to both the Interstate as well as the airport, it was amazingly quiet and peaceful.
We found clean, warm, comfortable rooms - no sign of dirt, bugs, or mold/mildew. We felt safe at our stay. Excellent service; friendly, helpful, and courteous.
Actual handicapped accessible room with roll in shower for wheelchairs!
Many other amenities:. Internet connection with login password provided with room key, in room coffee/tea, microwave, mini fridge, desk, safe, tv, and Bible; business center, sundry shop, pool, room service available between defined hours, etc.
Breakfast served daily between 06.00 - 9.00 a.m. with an excellent variety of foods and drinks (see noteworthy details).
As for the rate, don't forget your Wyndham Rewards membership as they gave us a rewards credit for the stay. Google maps comes up with a quote of $84/ night rate (when I questioned the young man at the hotel, he informed me that these are online discount services that you will not get Wyndham Rewards from if you use them...so huge discount, but you don't rack up points for staying; depends upon what you are looking for as to which direction you choose to go with this), however, when reserving as a Wyndham Rewards member directly with the hotel, the actual rate quote from hotel is $128/night. Then after checkout, hotel billed $8.14 state tax, $6.40 local tax, $1.28 state transient tax (a tax on a tax) PLUS a $50 hold on the room in case of contingencies that can be refunded in 3-5 days NOT on the original quote. It would be an improvement if the hotel hospitality professionals would tell you in advance about the $50 fee that is tying up your credit card and adding additional interest for 3-5 days.
Around the area there are a lot of shops and restaurants available. We didn't find many open so late and were not inclined to use any at the late check-in hour...
