Very good location. Comfortable and well kept rooms and bathroom. If you're just wanting a place for a good night sleep and a good shower, this place is perfect. Reason I give this place a three star is that while this is labeled a "Breakfast Inn", they DO NOT SERVE BREAKFAST! In the printed sheet that they have on your bed, they mention breakfast options in restaurants nearby. Before 7:30 AM, you will not find any place to eat breakfast. And so if you're trying to hit the trail before the it gets hot, you better pack some breakfast food. You expect more from a inn which label itself to be a 'B&B' and charges you $150 per night. Even a bottle of water is not left behind for guests. While the owner/inn keeper has a coffee pot in his room for their personal use, there is no coffee pot in guest rooms. I tried to walk on Main street at 6:30 AM to find a cup of coffee, and couldn't find any place open. Esca-latte Restaurant in next door Escalante Outfitters, provides terrific coffee and breakfast choices, with great customer service. But you have to wait until 7:30 AM for them to open.

I really enjoyed this cute little place. The owner is a very nice man. I can't say my husband was overjoyed because they don't allow smoking on the property so he had to go stand in the street... partially my fault cuz I didn't notice that when I reserved. No big deal, the street isn't that far away. Quiet little town, nice bed, the shower had good pressure, although it would probably be better for a taller person. The room was decorated and painted nicely. Pretty small TV but we didn't really watch any, just stayed overnight on our way to our destination. There's a quaint little restaurant across the street we ate there and then we walked down to the local pub which was much more friendly to Outsiders and we enjoyed a few drinks there and conversation with others.

Perfect place in the heart of Escalante to stay. Charming, clean and quiet rooms to relax in after a day's adventure. Tom, the owner, is super knowledgeable about trails, restaurants and local word. Every morning a homemade pastry, i.e., cranberry muffins to walnut cinnamon rolls and fresh coffee is served.

We were extremely happy with the INN of Escalante. Escalante seems to not be standard stopover point on the standard Utah roadtrip, but I would HIGHLY recommend that you stopover to stay at the Inn of Escalante. You can skip staying in Bryce and drive an extra hour to stay in Escalante. There is so much to do in Escalante and it was a highlight to stay in the INN of Escalante. We followed all the recommendations of Tom (the owner)--where to go, where to eat, what to do, and we were NEVER let down. Trust Tom and you will have an amazing experience. I would suggest a 2 night stay--arrive in the evening, spend the next whole day in Escalante, and then drive onward the next morning.

The rooms had so much character and were furnished with high quality, authentic beds and furniture. The ceilings were vaulted and each room has a sunlight which makes them feel big and very cozy. Tom made coffee and muffins in the morning, and gave a nice send-offs for the day.

We enjoyed the Adults Only (no kids) and Non-Smoking rules. Please keep this in mind before booking.

Highly, highly recommend! This may have been our favorite stop and accommodation on our 10 day roadtrip (which included Zion, Moab,...

Booked this hotel today. They have sent me a message immediately - "The INN of Escalante is an extremely strict NON-Smoking facility......The INN of Escalante does not give 2nd chances. If there is the smell smoke in in the room because of your clothes there is an additional $200.00 added to your bill to clean your room." - So, after you check out and left if they think that your room smells like a smoke (even slightly) then they go ahead and charge $200 from your credit card. Do you want a vacation like that? This is ridiculous. Needless to say, they will charge you $300 if you bring your child under 16 yo on the property and other crazy things. I have canceled my reservation immediately after receiving this email - which was 20 mins after I've made it. The owner told that he will charge my card anyway - disputing the charge now. This place is...
