Griffin Grocery — Local services in Escalante

This store was larger and ever so slightly less expensive than the other grocery store further down the road, but the selection was a bit more basic. If you’re looking for organic/natural or special diet (gluten free/ vegetarian/vegan) products they probably don’t have it (we didn’t see any), we had to get that at the other store. Staff was friendly but a bit odd. We were not greeted when we came in but instead given weird looks by the staff (I assume for being not from the area.) Griffin Grocery came through for us when we needed a quick restock before heading to our next camp spot. It had everything we needed, plus a few extras that made the haul even better. The meats are local (yes, you can taste the difference), and the staff? Super friendly, helpful, and full of small-town charm.

kudos to you guys for allowing staff to have freedon of choice with wearing a mask. Im shocked at the mask crying on here. Shocked since august 2022 Vovid vaccinated people had the highest deaths.
