Stayed here for a night on Friday (through Air BnB) for a friend's wedding, got to the room (which had a strong Fabuloso scent to it), went to air the room out only to find the main window had no screen on it which was a problem seeing how the place is right on the river. Furthermore, the lock on the window looked like it had been popped off. To remedy that, they used a dry, curved branch in the track to "lock" the window. Sketchy to say the least. Didn't make anything of that initially, seeing as how we didn't have much with us since we were only in town for a night. But then, we realized the window in the bathroom was broken as well. We found this out the hard way, when my partner went to close it and wound up cutting the tip of her finger. The majority of the inner pane of the window was missing with quite a few glass shards still in place along the rusty window frame. The place had supposedly been cleaned, but the area by the TV had a decent amount of dust bunnies still, The shower head definitely wasn't flush with the wall and had some paint peeling. The entire facility is in need of some serious TLC. The area around the office needs some gardening. When we brought it up to Air BnB and to the host, the host declined to give any sort of refund for the issue. The window in the bathroom situation alone is a major problem, as people can definitely injure themselves a lot worse with that sort of thing. For what we paid, it was definitely not worth it. Would not recommend, and won't be staying here again.

I'll say this it was an experience, lol. I stayed the night in one of the 2 story "cabins" and well, ummm. They are by no means perfect but not completely horrible. The heater to the unit was broken, and well, it's winter. They had placed 1 small portable heater inside the unit as if that was going to work. We did request another heater at the front desk and was provided one (which was better), but it's definitely not ok seeing as it's winter time you would assume they would try and fix the issue. The scenery was beautiful, and the property was quit and kept up for the most part. The balcony was the best part of the unit. Although the unit did come with a refrigerator, stove, sink, coffee bar, Tv, and BBQ. So, again, it's wasn't the best but not the worst. It was meant to be relaxing, and it was. Oh, there was also a very friendly orange cat on the property, which made things just a little better, lol.

We have stayed in many places near national parks where you take the best you can get and I’m not particularly sensitive or high maintenance. However, I am leaving a rare review to warn people like me not to stay here. This is not your usual “tough it out, nothings perfect out here” kind of stay.

We had strange experiences straight from checkin, where no one was in the office at the start and it looked like a mess outside it (dirty clothes sitting and hanging over a randomly place ping pong table). After calling and waiting a bit, someone finally opened the door and gave us our key and the inside of that office/house looked like a mess as well.

Our room was gross, no other way around it. The sheets were stained (one was red and was possibly blood!?) and had hair all over them, the towels smelled like they had been washed in some industrial chemical, and there were bugs all over the place on the floor (we saw this the first time we opened the door as we first got in).

When we slept the night we heard scurrying all over the place. At first I thought it was a critter on the roof, but then I realized it was actually in the walls/ceiling, which is the only reason it could have been so incredibly loud while we tried to sleep.

The only upside of this place is the location but there are others around. Don’t be like me and actually read though the reviews - don’t take this place’s word that it’s a 3-star. It’s a 1-star in a...

These cabins lured us in for the price. We've stayed at "rustic" and "budget" locations, so we were hoping for a similar experience. The main difference between those stays and this is obvious. Despite those cost limitations, those stays were well cleaned and maintained. Sequoia river front cabins were not. The grounds looked completely trashed. Trash all over the outside, rotting wood on the balcony, and pothole ridden driveways. The cabins were in a similar state of disrepair. In our cabin, the window was cracked, and the locking mechanism completely broken. The fix? They put a wooded branch in the slide. The AC and surfaces was caked with dust and the AC unit reeked when you turned it on. The shower and curtains were covered in mildew. I appreciate the thought of "entertainment" provided with a vcr with softcore adult tapes and religious sermons. When we went out for the night and decided to crash with our friends, the management walked into our room at night to "check on the room" and took our bathroom spray. When we asked them about it when we were checking out, they "lost" it. All in all, the pictures and reviews are super misleading. This is one of the worst maintained and cleaned places we've ever stayed at. Avoid...
