Suwannee River Motel — Hotel in Fanning Springs

We heard about this hotel on TV’s Motel Rescue and had to take a tour. It’s on a beautiful piece of property with almost an 100’ view overlooking the Suwannee River. The sunsets are incredible. They’re still in the midst of their renovations but we loved what we saw. The lobby blends comfortable chic with retro decor details… it’s so welcoming. The rooms are somewhat spacious being beautifully decorated with natural woods, soft blues and earth tones and white accents. The rear of the property overlooks the river and has open and covered seating areas for two or larger groups to enjoy the sunset or just relax and be social. The owners have a garden on the property of uncommon varieties of vegetables and herbs. Additionally, they have a row of cabins - some with a large private patio and each with vaulted ceilings, ample space and beautiful decor. Out front they created small seating areas for each cabin creating additional space to enjoy views of the property and river. The owners and management have that small town friendly warmth that add to the comfort and welcoming feel of this motel.

I loved this renovation and look forward to seeing the next phases of this motel. If you appreciate small locally business, original Florida comfortable casual, and modernized retro style I highly recommend you...

We came up from Ft. Myers for a family reunion. My brother and I hadn't seen some family members for over 15 yrs. Our 3 nite stay was great! We stayed in 1 of the newly remodeled rooms with a deck attached. The staff including grounds keeper and house cleaning couldn't have been nicer. We knew it wasn't going to be the Ritz Carlton...that's not what Old Town is about!! The grounds where beautifully kept up and colorful. I've traveled around little bit and stayed in 600 a nite rooms. I was very pleased with the accommodations and totally recommende staying here if ever out in the land the time...

Hello folks , We 2 seniors and my for real service dog were treated quite rudely by trying to simply book a room . The lady representing this establishment told us she wouldn’t allow pets . We explained Alex is not a pet I’m handicap Alex was PRESCRIBED by my doctor after my kidney transplant ! ! 🙏🏻 To no avail she wouldn’t listen to the fact that this is a FEDERAL ADA service animal ACT and protected by LAW .
