Big sign on front entrance COVID-19 mask required. I had a mask and put it on. The numbers are going sky high again and I'm almost always wearing a mask inside. I mentioned to man at front desk that the mask requirement is for him also and he replied that he wouldn't be helping me someone else would and refused to wear a mask. I said he still needed to wear a mask. I had to repeat again that he needed a mask. He finally put one on and said something to the effect of am I satisfied. I said I was. In the mean time a woman came from the back room to check me in. ||||I had reserved on line and she evidently had to re-enter all my info into her program. She wanted my id and wanted to see the credit card I was using to pay. I gave her both, she returned my cc but kept my drivers license. She took it over to the photocopier and I asked her why was she going to photocopy it. She said that the city of Fire required the hotels in the city to have a copy of the id of every guest in the hotel on file. She had also just handed me two pages to sign and on it there was the statement that the id needed to be verified there was nothing that said it needed to be on file. I put up a stink asking how long the photocopy was going to remain at the hotel and she said it would be thrown away at check out. I ask if it was going to be shredded and she said yes. I then decided because the clerk was as so rude to me that I didn't want to spend the night and ask for a refund. It was granted. I just realize that I didn't ask for my photocopy back. The man that didn't want to wear the mask said that the clerk whom was helping me could treat me rudely because I was treating her rudely. I mentioned that I responded to her attitude towards me. ||||This Guesthouse Inn should not be part of the Red Lion family. I expect courtesy from the clerk. I expect them to follow the same COVID-19 rules that they ask the guests to follow. I expect the written requirements on the papers I sign to be followed not interpreted by a clerk to something absolutely...
Read moreThis Inn gives the Bates Motel a run for its money and I would rather sleep in my car then spend another night there. It was late and our favorite hotel, Emerald Queen was sold out so we picked this one for its location close to the casino. When you first enter the hallways you are hit with an overwhelming smell of 40 years of smoke lingering in the 1970s dilapidated carpets. The smell continued into my "non smoking" room. The room itself was a mishmash of random furniture from a flea market I'm sure, the walls damaged and discolored, patched up like a 2 year old had a go at it. I wore shoes in the room because the carpet was filthy and stained everywhere! I went to use the bathroom where I looked down and saw ants playing on the linoleum. The shampoo/conditioner bottles were dirty and had hair on them, there was also hair in my bed which led me to sleep on top with my own blanket, fully clothed. In the morning when I went to shower I realized the shower pull was missing so I had to kneel in the tub and wash my hair and body under the faucet. The TV also didn't work properly, every single channel was fuzzy. In the morning when we left I complained to the front desk lady and she said I should have told her last night and she would have moved us to another room. Maybe I should have told her earlier but I doubted the other rooms would be any better and I didn't know the shower was broken until the morning and that was the last straw for me. She did not give us our money back or do anything so in exchange I write this review to save other ppl the trouble of making my same mistake. This is an honest review and I didn't even cover everything that was wrong with my stay so for your own health and comfort I would tell you to find somewhere else to stay...anywhere else. I would have given this Inn no stars but it wont let me post without clicking on at least one ; ) Did I fail to mention this Inn is full of crazies and hookers and...
Read moreStayed here a few weeks ago, and it was disgusting. The lobby looks and smells nice enough, but when you get to your room, it's an entirely different story.
To start off, we walked down the hallway to get to the elevator. The hallway smelled like urine, mildew, and stale smoke. We got to the elevator and just around the corner, that hallway had three dirty mattresses leaning up against the wall. Gross.
So then we get to our room. It's a basic room- bed, desk, dresser, bedside tables, lamps, etc. One out of three lamps worked. They all had nasty, busted/cracked/shattered lampshades on them. We tried plugging in one of the other lamps, but the outlet was so loose, the plug would just fall out with no effort at all.
I decided to use the bathroom. The shower head was leaking the whole night (drip drip drip). When I lifted the cover up to use the toilet, there was already toilet paper in it. I tried to flush it down, but it was clogged. I called the front desk to ask someone to come up and fix it and they said "ok." 20 minutes later, still no one comes up. So my boyfriend had to go down there himself and get a plunger. It's fine if we have to do it ourselves, but at least tell us instead of saying "ok" and then leaving us under the impression someone's going to come fix it.
Then we tried to use the sink. Also clogged. I don't have the slightest idea WHY I stuck my finger in the drain, but when I pulled it out, beard hair/pubic hair came out of it. Absolutely repulsive.
Piles of old, dirty rolled up carpet at the back entrance. Went to take a picture of the mattresses in the hallway but they were suddenly gone. I can onky assume back into the rooms for guests to sleep on.
Breakfast was really the only decent thing about this place. But don't go here. The cheap price tag on a room here is still not cheap enough. Also in a pretty run down sketchy area. Not...
