Stardust Motel — Hotel in Floodwood

This is a gem of a motel! We will definitely stay again. We needed to be in meadowlands early morning so made a weekend trip and visited the bog area, which is amazing. We stayed in room 6 that has a king bed. Very clean and comfortable and stylish! Felt more like an Airbnb. The bed is a memory foam type bed and was excellent. Great selection of channels on TV. Mini fridge, microwave and Keurig in the room. Bathroom was so nice and clean, shower pressure was so good! Shampoo and soaps and cups provided and nice soft towels. The gal helping us out was very friendly and easy to talk to. Only one thing I recommend is to get black out curtains, it got very light in the room at 5am with sunrise. So if you're good with that, that's great. Otherwise bring an eye mask! We didn't use the heat or AC so can't comment on that. Very cute town and both restaurants on either side were great to eat at. Affordable as well which is getting rare! So happy...

Absolute gem. My Mom passed so I had to drive from Edmonton, Alberta to Montreal, Quebec and took the south route. I’m now returning and have completed 3/4 of this wretched trip. This place felt like a mini holiday. Clean, comfy, fridge & microwave, coffee, wifi & TV. Everything worked and everything was in the rite place. I’m 70 so I don’t travel that far in a day and this place is heads and above anything else I’ve stayed in. Also one of the cheapest. AND……there was a live plant in a cute holder on the wall. Yes, there are no on duty staff (there’s only 6 rooms) so don’t be dumb and just arrive. The owner lives in the wee town and if you book ahead like normal people she’s there waiting for you. If I ever have to do this horrible trip again, this place, rite in the middle, will be my mini vacation...

Stayed up here for awhile while working at the refinery in Superior, started off in the regular rooms for two weeks and the beds were comfy, the room was super clean and what appeared to be all new construction. Then later I swapped over to their suite which was even better with a full kitchen and with all the ammenities you could need to cook a full meal and more, a nice couch and TV, and also the bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in while on the road. The couple who own this place were super nice and helpful with anything I needed. I can not recommend this place enough. If ever I am back up here and they are still running it, I will definitely be coming back. More mom and pop owned motels can learn a thing or two about this place. Also the pricing was great!
