My husband and I stopped here for lunch around 12:45 on a Saturday. Our waitress was relatively quick to bring menus and get our drink orders, but that was the extent of the good service. The restaurant wasn't overly busy, but the staff definitely seemed more interested in staying behind the bar and helping those patrons. I watched the waitress stop what she was doing on her way to serve us or another table to serve someone at the bar several times.
I ordered the broasted chicken, which is my go-to when available. I had previously ordered this months ago, when the restaurant was under different ownership, and it was a completely different experience. Last time, I had to bring leftovers home. This time, I got the smallest wing with maybe two bites of meat on it, and a thigh that was also exceptionally disappointing. For the same price I paid for basically two meals previously.
My husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger and it was even worse than my experience. The burger was clearly frozen. Nothing came on the burger except the cheese and bacon. The burger itself was quite dry, to the point of being basically inedible, and the bun was cold despite having clearly been toasted. He left over half of it on his plate.
No one came to check on us after we got our meal until we were done, with half our meals still on our plates. When the waitress came to ask if my husband was done, she saw the amount of food left on his plate but never asked how the meal was. Overall, the service quality matched that of the food.
Needless to say, we will never be back. We are from the area and this is the closest sit-down restaurant to us, so we likely would have returned at some point. However, paying $40 for lunch just to leave hungry and disappointed will definitely encourage us to seek out other restaurants...

Read moreWe stopped here on a road trip and weren’t disappointed. We had the place to ourselves on a Tuesday around 11:30 and sat on the outside deck. My kids haven’t tried cheese curds so we started off with that appetizer. The cheese curds didn’t last 2 minutes at our table! The bacon burger, Bob’s Belly Buster fish sandwich and Rueben were all tasty. Our group enjoyed the house made dip that accompanied the house made chips. It’s sort of a French onion style. The server was prompt and the food came out fast. We’d definitely stop by again next time we’re in the area. COVID-19: FYI, this place seems to follow procedures well. Mask and distancing procedures are posted, protocols for restrooms usage are posted, sanitizer is out and available, servers wore masks and they asked for contact info so that they may contact trace if there’s an...
