I'll give it 3 stars, only because the food was ok. We just ordered a shake, some fries, a hotdog basket and a chicken strip basket. All the food items were just fine.
What impacted me the most (and my family is still talking about it the next day) was how the gal working the cash register made SURE everyone knew THEY WERE CLOSING AT 7:00 p.m. About 6:40 p.m. she locked one of the front doors, hauled in the banner flag from outside that said "open" and posted a closed sign on the front door. We found it comical how aggressively she warned customers about their closing time. We even watched her look from the paying customers to the clock with a look that said, "Do you know what time it is?" Then, as we got into our vehicle at 6:58, a hungry couple pulled into the parking lot. They had obviously been traveling and looked hungry and tired. We just had to see what would happen, so we waited to leave the parking lot, sat in our car and watched. The couple walked into the restaurant and almost immediately came right back out. Poor customer service? I'd have to say yes. Will I bring my family back? I doubt it.
If you're going to stop here, MAKE SURE IT'S BEFORE 6:30 p.m. They close...
Read moreThe food isn’t bad when they get it right. They have the wrong prices listed on the take out window and the front door. They charge you $.25 per takeout container that they don’t tell you about. When you can only get takeout because the lobby is closed. Unless it’s the employees kids and grandkids. They are allowed to run around in there while actual customers aren’t allowed inside. When I told them I wanted an itemized receipt because from the prices they have listed, it didn’t match what to what I added up. She said oh that’s the wrong price. I asked her if I could get something listing the correct price but they don’t have anything like that. I would highly suggest driving the extra 35 minutes to Gordy’s in Cloquet. Better food and much...
Read moreWow. Two things: first, the food was so good. I and two other people got double burgers with fries, and it was almost too much. The other thing is the price. For a diner, a double cheeseburger costing $9 is so amazing. The food is all made from scratch. I recommend getting just a normal burger on the value menu. otherwise, it is too much. But it is so good. The service was great. When we were ordering, she said the wait would be 20 minutes, but that there was only one cook and made everything from scratch. She had interesting drinks and the waitress was very helpful. Finally, the atmosphere was okay, just a busy day with no time to clean....
