Absolutely loved this resort! The entrance you see the waterfall from the valet, then going to reception you see the view of the octopool and the vast beach. The lobby smelled so good. Every staff member I encountered was so friendly and kind. They do have a late check in, however if you arrive early and your room is ready then they hand you the keys. I think it is of recent change that they included breakfast with your stay...let me tell you, it is not some lame muffins and boiled eggs with a make it urself waffle, no this is a full Ala carte spread, molet station, waffle station, hot food station, cold food station, drink by waitress. Valet is free, UT please don't forget to tip, some of the guys take venmo, cash app or zelle, I felt horrible not having cash on me...but do you think that changed their behavior absolutely not! So kind and courteous. They have free kayaks on the beach, then for a fee there are kayak tours and jetski tours, they have different activities each day planned, we got to enjoy movie at the pool dumping our 1 night stay. Audrey's so so cute and we'll priced for being a hotel gift shop, they have all your forgotten items clothing wear beach wear and they even saved me with their sandals! I decided to just take 1 pair of sandals on my 1 night stay, well on arrival my sandal broke, every local beach shop was ridiculously expensive 40-100 for not even cute sandals. Audrey's had sandals from 8-21.....so I got myself 2 and my daughter 1. My room for 5 people was to die for it was top floor, apartment suite with full kitchen but the incredible views! I had a view of the ocean from every window and the massive living room window facing the beach, I sat there for 2 hrs looking out. They had only 1 functioning elevator but please have grace and patience as the hotel continues their repairs post hurricane Ian, they are almost done. They have iced lemon water everywhere. They have wet hand towels to freshen up at the check in counter. And cute old-school board games on tables in the lobby. The octopool was so much fun, enjoyed by all both children and adults. Plenty of available lounge chairs and umbrellas both in the pool and beach areas. The building itself has on one-sided views of the bay and marina and the other side views of the beach.
We had such a great time that my daughter said instead of a birthday party she wanted to come back there....didn't even mention disney. Ask for us, we definitely plan on more family stay cation mini getaways, because seriously from a day and a half we left feeling like we were on...
Read moreSuites are very nice Stayed in Captiva sunrise /sunset suite . This was my wife and I first vacation here and first weeks vacation we have taken in years we were celebrating our 36th annivarsary made reservation and we’re supposed to go back in Oct the week the second hurricane hit we rescheduled in Dec for May. I had requested several times for a suite on upper floor I was told they could not guarantee anything but would make note of that. When we arrived and we’re checking in our room was on second floor the front desk person Carlos said the rooms were assigned and nothing he could do . I could come back in the morning to see if they could do anything I was a little disappointed but didn’t want to make a big deal and upset my spouse we wanted to get settled and unpack some so after spending first night we decided it was fine and stayed put . We had great view of the beach adult pools and sunsets the corner suites are very private and comfortable unlike most hotels we never heard a sound from another room the entire week next door or above we enjoyed sitting on veranda and watching people and the views . Always had a nice breeze when we opened the sliding doors . We found the property to be very clean and convenient we loved the pool and walking on the beach chairs and umbrellas always available and beach guys were great. Pool service and towels also very easy lunch food from Bongos was very good and consistent burgers are outstanding and fresh as are the fish tacos we also found the pools beverage service from. Bongos beach bar and hotels bar to be very good |Overall we had a very good experience also found staff and house keepers to be very courteous and welcoming . Also found parking to be very easy and could almost always find a good spot close to ground floor elevators |One Mait issiue the washing machine was broken a guest washed a hotel blanket and it was to big and heavy and destroyed the machine burnt up the motor that happened on. Tues or Wed and the machine was not fixed or replaced by the time we left had to do a load of wash on another floor which was a bit of a pain but so it goes. The Marina guys were also friendly and helpful . Had dinner first night at Rae’s food was good service was a bit inexperienced but nice a bit pricy small portion sizes of entrees but fresh .|I see why property has such a good reputation ,, well deserved !! |Hope to...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing experience.
Friendly welcome from the moment we stepped in.
Location is right on Fort Myers Beach, our room was in the main building overlooking the pool and beach. It was spacious, high quality appliances and spotlessly clean. Dishwasher tables, washing detergent and coffee was replaced every day. House keeping was outstanding, Moulton brown toiletries, stunning bathroom, with shower and huge tub.
Pool and facilities were excellent, plenty of umbrellas and seating. Brilliant towel system which helps free up empty pool seats. Area was cleaned every morning and staff were friendly again.
Daily activities for children, some free and some paid. Really cannot ask for more, mix of crafts, treats and pool games.
Breakfast included was excellent, plenty of choice. Omelette station, hot buffet with chef specials and plenty of fruit, pastries etc. Again staff were friendly and great service.
Bongos pool bar was great for lunch and dinner. Plenty of options both food and drink. They also sell sweets and ice cream and the prices are fair. At no point staying did we feel ripped off.
Last but not least Ranger Rob! What an asset to the hotel, we attended the daily beach walks at 7.30am every day we found new things and the amount of information our daughter soaked up from Rob was brilliant. The kids and adults loved it, cannot think of a better way to start the day. Then throughout the day other nature activities around the resort alongside the activities mentioned above were excellent. The ranger station on the beach was amazing and open all day, so much to look at and learn. We also attended a 2hr mangrove kayaking tour (paid for) but this was worth every penny. Manitee swam under us and got to see some dolphins playing in the distance. Again Ranger robs knowledge was amazing, we felt safe with great quality equipment.
Also need to give a shout out to Chester, friendly and kind.
Whatever management are doing, from a customer perspective they are smashing it. They have an excellent team of staff throughout the resort, this is a huge asset to fort myers and florida in general. I cannot recommend Pink shell enough, we stayed 6 nights and wish it was longer.
Thank you for a...
