Pros and cons..... The rooms were comfortable, bed and pillows were good...I slept well........the place was VERY clean and staff was friendly....view from balcony is beautiful and pool is great BUT... even during a holiday weekend, this place is EXTREMELY overpriced. We paid $320 a night, the manager said that was a very discounted price. I heard people being quoted $420 a night. This place, as nice as it is, is NOT that kind of place...it is not a RESORT. I will not be returning here....the rooms are not as big as led to believe on the site. The free breakfast has limited options, is in a pretty small area and, there is no restaurant or bar to speak of...as a resort normally has. I hear they recently remodeled, the prices here lead me to believe that they're just passing the expense of that onto patrons. $320 to $420 for this place is absurd. My retort to the owner's response: You have us confused with others, we did not have a birthday party there, we did not request 4 passes and, we stayed the whole time because we had an event to attend and, no place else was available. My wife called to the 800 number to express her dissatisfaction, upon which she was informed that the manager would be advised. Upon notification, a message was left that management wished to meet with my wife...we had only been there less than one full day at the time. Management informed her that no refund or any sort of compensation would be made. Being a long time member of Best Western Rewards, she was disappointed in this property and it's management. As I stated in my original review, this HOTEL is more than satisfactory. All sorts of housekeeping and maintenance were wonderful...very friendly as well as thorough. We enjoyed the pool, the room...smaller than expected from a resort...was clean and comfortable and, the views onto the beach were amazing.. Properties that refer to themselves as a resort normally include on property establishments for eating and/or drinks as well....the response referred to us as slandering this establishment, which cannot be further from the truth, we were disappointed by the lack of amenities in a place that refers to itself as a resort.

This property far exceeded our expectations! The location was wonderful---quiet side of the beach but absolutely close enough to Time's Square and all the excitement--all within walking distance. The room was super clean and was a great value---full sized fridge and freezer, a small stovetop (two electric burners), cabinets filled with everything you would need to cook a meal (pots, pans, full place settings, silverwear, cutting knife, cutting board, toaster, etc). There are also a few grills available for use (we did not use) but saw others using. I believe the grills were propane and the two I saw were also close to picnic tables on the beach, one was in a covered area on the beach with a large picnic table, so it would be great to grill our and have a meal outside.

All the rooms overlook the beach/ocean and from what I could tell, all have amazing views---there's not an obstructed view on the property! The balcony was wonderful and large. The beach is literally steps away---the beach area was clean and well-maintainted with the ability to rent an umbrealla and chairs if desired (approx $30/day). Beach towels are provided although they were a bit small, but you can use as many as you need to make your towel space larger. The pool area was also a good size (pool goes from 3 feet-6 feet) and had lounge chairs all around it. The pool was heated and water temp was perfect! There was also a shuffleboard court on the property.

Staff members were friendly and helpful---in particular Joy at the front desk went out of her way on several different occassions to assist us with requests we had. Breakfast is provided on site and was different each day--hot items such as eggs, omlettes, sausage, and waffles were available as well as bakery items, bagels, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, etc.

If I had some recommendations it would be to have paper towels or napkins in the room (we never thought to include that with our grocery order) and would have been nice to have the tv's be smart tv's. There was a USB hookup in the back, but they did not recognize our devices. We definitely did not spend the day in the room, but it would have been nice to be able to watch Netflix or Prime on the evenings we didn't go out.

We would absolutely return to this property! Location, staff, cleanliness, and comfort of rooms (beds were comfy, towels were SOFT, and bathroom was a good size). This property is PERFECT in every way!!! Say hello to Coco...

My experience was one that I do not wish on any parent. Their maintenance guy told my kids to get out of the pool & they were trying to leave and he would not let them, he then put his hands on them. Tried to put my 12 yr. old in a chokehold and when he got out of it he went for my 13 yr old. The cops asked me not to press charges that the hotel would reprimand him. Management showed no remorse. I was made to feel as if I did not belong there. Management continuously made excuses for his behavior. One of them being that a lot of people that do not belong on the property because they are not guest have been trespassing & destructive. So my question is , if they know this has been happening why don’t they hire adequate security? They would know protocol on how to deal with these situations, you can not simply go around physically assaulting people, especially children. Management denies there being video surveillance that would help prove what their employee did so that I can press charges. When I went down to ask for his name one of the managers was refusing to give it to me because “it sounded like I wanted to do something about what happened” . I was the guest, I should have felt protected but instead they are protecting their employee who is clearly in the wrong. I have not been able to sleep for days. I feel like I failed my children for not pressing charges immediately. For believing that the hotel would reprimand him and that could be enough. Instead the hotel continuously made us feel unwelcome & tried to protect their employee who laid his hands on my babies.

I can not believe ur response is for ME to show video footage. When we were all too busy running downstairs. Ur establishment and the cops covered this up. Clearly there was racism involved as some of your spanish speaking employees mentioned. So may this serve for anyone with a little color on their skin to avoid this disgusting place. This literally traumatized my children.

Response: then please give video footage of the pool where the incident occurred & the lobby to show there was a witness to...
