The only reason it lost maybe half a star for us is unfortunatley the wifi at back is pretty weak and we had to do some work, but we managed to deal with it...manager was greatand helpful..location is well kept and clean..one nice thing I did like is the rear portion of park was set up for smaller spaces.. so small trailers and travel vans werent next to big rigs, tho you just need to be aware of possible wifi signal there. Laundry room is clean and they did a good job making it homey and friendly for a laundry room since most are very sterile..even as a guy I found that was a nice touch.. 2 washers and dryers but its a small park so that wasnt a problem when I did laundry...2 large shower/bathrooms, which are unisex but lock by deadbolt so its private for use..again for a small park its probably rare one wouldnt be open.. some of the spots had trees which was nice for shade from sun and even tho we didnt use it they did offer trash pick up..since we were close to dumpster we didnt need that service.. the park is literally a block or so from Publix and CVS and Wendys.. the park driveway is bit obscure as you approach since there is a quirky sideroad entrance then an additional entrance from the road..tough to explain but if you are going off google maps just be on lookout so you dont get confused and pass the park or turn too soon..
Some of the people in park seemed to be on longer stays and were friendly in passing..very family based feeling at the park from what I saw and very quite in the park...some people in other reviews talk about train noise but I honestly didnt really notice, but we ran fans all the time due to heat...I cant see how that would be big enough of issue to be down on the place since you have to accept it is literally in town location so there will be town noise.. it is near most if the local things to see and do at ft pierce...also something to be aware of is when you put google map directions for fort pierce Koa you have to ensure you pick this one...there is another fort pierce koa about 7 miles away( a KOA Holiday) so we went there first by accident since we didnt verify address..that koa was also super friendly and helpful and says that...
Read moreThis review is only about the tent sites.
Tent sites are very noisy. If you are at all sensitive to noise, do NOT camp here in a tent. Can't speak for an RV experience.
There is also a light on a pole opposite the tent sites which can bother some that are light sensitive. There is a screen in front of the light, but that's not quite tall enough for the angle / line of site for the tents
First - They are located as far away from the highway as possible but that's still not far enough away to drown out the road noise.
Second- as mentioned in another review- the Trains sound as if they are right next to the tent sites and loudly blow their horns repeatedly through the night past midnight. Even wearing earplugs this was bothersome.
Third The Quiet hours are not enforced and the site next to us had a group of drunken guys talking about military service. The loudest one was afflicted with hiccups. He said he was a commander who was forty years old and had only just now figured out who he was and proceeded to talk very loudly about all of his ex girlfriends in lurid details. The loud conversation, drinking and guffaws proceeded well past midnight.
Needless to say - we did not feel like confronting a bunch of drunk military personnel in the middle of the night so we suffered until they eventually ran out of alcohol and conversation.
Please note- they were so loud the ear plugs I had brought were still not enough to muffle their noise.
SO if you have a Tent and are noise sensitive - DO...
Read moreStayed here for a few days with my rv and I have to say it’s was a good little spot. The sites are decent size and offer full hookups,30/50 amp service with cable tv with limited tv channels and a brick patio with a picnic table, and fire pit on every site. The WiFi was decent but not great. They ask you not to stream big files or tv/movies but that’s so everyone has access to it. The people who work at the campground were very nice and made checkin very easy. The showers were clean and bathrooms the same there is a laundry on site but I didn’t use them so it would be wrong for me to comment. So there isn’t a pool which was a little bit of a downer But I knew that going into this location. But their location to the beach is a quick 10 min drive. There are public beaches but I opted for the State parks. It was 4$-6$ dollars to get into the state park for the day. And most open at 6am and closed at 8-9pm. I was able to bring my rv to the state park after checking out of the camp ground. The state park has big grassed lot with plenty of room to park. There are no hookup at the state park but bathrooms and outdoor showers are available for after a day at the beach. All in all my tip to Fort Pierce was a good one! If you looking for a good little place to stay in Fort Pierce I highly recommend this KOA. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s I would have given it 5 stars if they had a pool, but the...
