This place is SICK...šŸ¤£šŸ‘I MEAN FREAKING GORGEOUS for a low-budget hotel me and my wife stayed at. CLEAN, COMFORTABLE with many amenities I don't see in other low-budget hotels. I think this hotel could be a rave, only because of its location šŸ¤” I mean, when you come out here, it is out in the desert mountain range in a small town. Large bed, couch (has a fold away bed inside) with a table, another table and large chair, large screen TV microwave in the room, and small refrigerator underneath. Nice pictures on the walls, nice design carpet, 4 lampshade lamps, coffee machine. Large mirror over desk. The bathroom is large with a tolid, sink, tub, and hair dryer. Closet space is ample with coat hangers ironing board and iron. The building has security both to enter when retrieving something from your car and your room. Ice machine and vending machines. Few Restaurants w/One supermarket closed on SUNDAY, some within walking or driving distance. The hotel has ample parking. We didn't see any pets, THANK GOD!!! Who wants to sleep in animal urine buried deep in a mattress with clean sheets. (Not accusing this hotel of doing that) only indicating the possibilities? What about a hotel offering a kennel room for animals and rooms for people in the same hotel?? Some of us are actually allergic to animals. There was no smell of cigarettes or damp fugus in our room or the hallway. All in all, a little Oasis tucked away from the big city travelers, and that's the way I LIKE ITšŸ¤ŖšŸ‘ŒDead and boring with beautiful views. Gas stations will have the highest prices here, a NO BRAINER, so be aware of that. Gas was $3.99 today. I INCLUDED PHOTOS IN MY REVIEW DAVE NY

The staff is excellent, the owner is possibly the nicest guy to run a motel I’ve ever met. I, like many of the reviewers, found myself here in a snow storm. It’s not a fancy place, but you can tell it’s lovingly and well maintained. The bathroom was spotless, and room was perfect. I find most motels’ beds much too firm, but they supplied three fluffy pillows so I can make myself comfy. I wish I had taken a picture of the bathroom before I messed it up, it was that clean.🧼 The complimentary breakfast was a lot more than I expected: fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, toast, biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, waffles, cereal and milk, and coffee. The view of the mountains šŸ” were perfect for sitting and enjoying the morning before you go. I didn’t use the pool (winter), business center, or exercise room, but they were very nice-with the exercise room supplied with towels and cleaner, water cups, a scale, and a tv. Just obviously a place where the owner and employees make sure everything is stocked and well thought out. Seriously, if you read all this, just book it already šŸ˜‹ Thanks Bob! Namaste šŸ™

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is Very nice! Mr. Patel, the owner worked for 30 plus minutes at 2am to clear a room reservation made by a discount vendor for a person who never showed. Our family of 5 was beyond exhausted and there were No Vacancies for about 75 miles. The room was fresh, clean and well appointed. Extra towels and blankets, No Problem! Mr. Patel, the owner called the room to make sure everything was great. They have a big, lovely outdoor pool, a view of a mountain and breakfast, luggage trolleys etc. WAY more than I expected from the outside. They offered a 1pm check out and we over slept. Housekeeping was So sweet and waited patiently for us. It was Very clean. No fear of touching carpet, fridge was big. Definitely Don't assume the blah exterior will mean the inside isn't nice, quiet, and excellent staff. All thumbs up! I wish I took more interior photos, but driving for 12 plus hours I just forgot.

Only gets 2 stars because I rounded up the 1.5 stars I actually give this place. It is dirty and run down. We arrived at 10pm after making a reservation earlier in the day, and finding out that they don't participate in any of the Wyndham bonus point promotions or even AAA or AARP discounts. It took several minutes for the manager/owner to notice me in the lobby. I think I woke him, but no big deal.

The problem was with how dirty our room was. Not only was the room backed up to the interstate, and a window left open, it also was not vacuumed at all because there was chips, food crumbs, finger nails, hair, & even a bobby pin on the floor. Since the window was left open and there was food on the floor, there were flies in our room. The towels all had stains on them. The fridge was not plugged in, so it had pools of water inside and smelled awful when we opened it. The microwave was filthy with food covering the inside. Luckily we didn't need it. By the time we realized how dirty the room was it was already 11pm and we just wanted to crash. The beds seemed clean enough to crash on so we closed the fridge and the window, sprayed some cologne in the air, wore our shoes around the room to avoid the dirty floor, and planned on trying for less stained towels in the morning.

In the morning when I told the same manager/owner from the night before about our room condition he told me that it was my fault that I didn't come ask for a clean room. Instead of an apology for the lack of cleanliness, he blamed us for not wanting to move all of our stuff at almost midnight. Into another room that may or may not be any cleaner. He also blamed his "new, younger cleaning crew" that he said "keeps changing". What does that tell you?

The hotel was basically empty, maybe 5 cars in the parking lot, so I can't understand how hard it is to have a clean room by 10pm. I couldn't imagine what the rooms look like on a busier night because I was embarrassed to bring my girlfriend here.

In addition to the above issues, there was garbage all over. We saw 2 opened bags of trash in the parking lot when we arrived & they were still there the next day. There was also trash in the hallway. Breakfast was minimal, dry cereal, packaged muffins, mini waffle maker (best breakfast item in our opinion), bruised bananas, cofee with no label as to decaf/regular, & lukewarm powder eggs. Meh.

This was a $50 hotel room that we paid $100 for. Such a rip off! There are no other motels in this town so they have no competition, and it shows by the lack of quality in every aspect of this property. Do yourself a favor and take a 20 minute drive to Pueblo for a cleaner and cheaper hotel room. We wish...

Recently booked and stayed at Days Inn in Colorado City. They advertised that it was a pet friendly hotel, no fine print. However they charged us a pet deposit. We drove over 1000 miles to the hotel for a wedding. Upon arriving they knew we were there for a wedding, but asked us not to leave the pet in our room all day, because they bark, and then they have to "go get the pet". So we took our dog to the wedding and kept him with us all day. Later that night we had to leave for a couple hours for a dinner, and we couldn't take the dog. So we left him in the room. When we return, the hotel had locked us out of our room, demanded that we pay for the next door guests room, (who had only checked in an hour before). On top of that, they demanded an extra $200, and if we didn't pay, we would be thrown out into the pouring rain with our two children and our dog. All other hotels were completely booked due to weddings, so we had no options. The manager yelled at us for almost two hours, argued with the sheriff's department who said he was wrong, and ignored the guests who wanted to check out. It was absolutely the worst I've ever been treated in the hospitality industry, which I personally worked in for almost 20 years. Not to mention the entire situation was riddled with greed and extortion. We did everything humanly possible to deal with the situation in a respectful manner, but were treated as subhuman. Furthermore, we booked a non-smoking room that reeked of cigarettes, had to ask for air freshener and spray the room ourselves, and had some type of white, crusty stains at the top of one of our comforters... disgusting!

The hotel advertised 'pet friendly' and we paid the extra fee to have the dog. No fine print stating we couldn't leave the dog in the room.

We were never informed that we would have to pay for other guest's rooms, or a $200 violation fee if our dog disturbed anyone.

After filing a police report, calling corporate five times, and filing with the Better Business Bureau, the company still refuses to reimburse the charges. We stayed at other pet friendly hotels on our 3500 mile road trip, not one of them had this type of absurd policy, or greedy service. Shame on you Days Inn. As a marketing professional, I will make sure to spread the word about the true nature of...

Never stay stay at any Wyndham properties. I complained and they don't care about people's health or safety. The property manager Ruth Griffith flat out lied. This is a very serious health issue and concern. Cat urine smell can be from mold, chemical reactions, or meth lab was there. It can be also be from large number of rodents peeing and pooping. The first night I complained to the front desk lady. She came to the room and sprayed "commercial" grade anti smell product. She said their bushes outside smell that way as well. I asked for another room and she said there was none. There are no other hotels close by. So no place to go to. I got physically sick the next morning as well as my dog! I went to the Sand Dunes and returned after a few hours because I was ill. I had to get the manager to let me into the room because my key didnt work. I told her I was checking out because of the smell. She said she smelled "something". There is no excuse. I complained to Wyndham and they don't care. No reply after I formally complained. I wrote a review and got BS back from Days Inn. I was not asking for both nights refund. I only wanted a refund for the night I did not stay. I think this is more than fair. Now they are lying and blowing this off I will pursue further. Colorado Board of Health will be contacted. This is not safe. If you throw up, my dog threw up and had a severe headache is a serious health and safety concern. How dare Days Inn and Wyndham. The fact they basically blew me off, refuse to seriously look into the issue of serious health cocerns with mold or chemical reactions everyone should never stay at any of their properties. They have no ethics or concerns for their...
