I stayed at the newly renovated Inn at Ojo, which is about a 1/4 mile from the main resort for one night. There is parking in front of the units and most parking spaces on the circular gravel drive are near the rooms.||They placed me in a room on the corner next to the main road(s), so there was some road noise from passing semis and delivery trucks. Fortunately, it was Summer, so kept the A/C running which helped mask some noise. When I walked into the room, there was a VERY strong air freshener scent in the main area. After being assured by the front desk that their staff doesn't use air freshener, I searched throughout the unit to try to find what was causing the smell. Perhaps a previous guest decided to douse the room in Glade?||Really appreciated the tea provided in the rooms but was unable to get the kettle to operate despite many tries/Google searches, so ended up enjoying some during my next stop. Sandia Rose is my current fave. If you need a bottle or wine opener, make sure to bring your own. Both bath and blue soaking towels were provided. There was a small refrigerator, microwave, ice bucket, water kettle, coffee and tea, mugs and small glasses. Ojo spa products were provided via dispensers. My room offered only a small shower stall, no tub and tight quarters in the bathroom. No easily accessible outlets for charging electronics (so I waited to charge them the next day in my car) and no TV.||I wasn't aware of any breakfast on offer (so that may no longer be the case) nor was I aware of a nearby store--perhaps it was closed during my short stay.||It was a nice stop-over, but I wouldn't plan to stay here for any...
Read moreMy guess is this small hotel was acquired by the hot springs business to add capacity and further monetize an already sprawling 'spa' footprint. The room is several minutes drive from the hot springs complex which adds an awkward commute to the soaking experience. Instead of easing from the water, into your robe and ambling straight into your room, staying at 'the Inn' requires a trek across the large parking lot, into your vehicle and 1/4 mile down a public road, only to reach a room which has some flaws. While clean and adequately appointed, the tiny room lacks storage space - wall hooks instead of a closet - and those walls are very thin. If you have to stay at the Inn, be prepared to become a participant in every activity your neighbors engage in: they sleep, you hear snoring; they talk, you hear the whole conversation...you get the picture. |In summary: an enormously overpriced room. Might as well just get a day soak pass and stay...
Read moreWe stayed here for 2 nights. The bed was comfortable. The room was quaint, adequate and generally comfortable without a lot of unnecessary amenities. It was very clean, as well. There is a refrigerator available for use in the main kitchen area. There is no television in the room. It's a good place to unwind and unhook from all of the daily grind and endless tech intrusion. It's a very short walk to the hot springs just up the road. ||||The breakfast was delicious and fresh both mornings. Portions were generous and the hosts were gracious. ||||It is not a budget place to stay. There aren't a lot of places out in the area. I thought it was worth it given the convenient location for our purposes, the quiet and peaceful comfort and the great food offered.||||Don't miss going into the associated store. It's got a lot...
