If I could leave 0 stars For this place I would for customer service. Amenities are nice and view is absolutely beautiful but other than that, TERRIBLE. First, Our room was not thoroughly clean, when we walked in there was a big spider web on the wall with dead flies&spiders in it. Anyone that walked in would of seen it so I know the cleaning staff saw it. Staff check in was awful, slow& acted like we were a bother. They also nearly checked us in under another persons room. After, we went to attempt to eat at broken arrows and employees saw us standing there for over 5 min and wouldn’t come seat us. One waiter stood there and talked to his table that appeared to be his friends and just ignored anyone who walked in. The hostess/waitress with glasses and big earrings finally came up and didn’t say a word and when my elderly mom said we had 3 that needed to please be seated, she yelled “HUH” I’m up here for to go orders. “Who has a to go order” with complete anger towards us. Some of the rudest service I’ve ever had. Employees acted bothered and had no interest in helping. We ended up leaving due to the service. We went to big game sports bar and restaurant and again, same thing, hostess was rude and acted bothered that she had to seat us. Waiter was very nice, but that was the exception. The following night we went back to big game sports bar and the same hostess from the night before was again bothered and she even started yelling at a family from across the Casino and it was beyond unprofessional & extremely mean. The hostess caught the attention of the majority of the people eating in the front of the restaurant. the bartenders in the restaurant were even telling her to stop and they are tired of her terrible attitude to customers. She should not be the first person that’s seen when coming into a restaurant and let alone seating people and dealing with the public. Other than that, the bartenders and wait staff were 5 stars and provided excellent service. After we left the big game sports bar,we went to the bar that is in the high limit in the casino area and the 2 female bartenders working, again, acted bothered we wanted to order drinks. I also heard them talking how only “68 minutes till closing.” after giving me our drinks. On our last day we went back to play golf at their golf course on the resort, and the day before we had paid for 18 holes and ended up only playing 9. the gentleman in the golf shop had said it was fine if we came back the following day to play after double checking to make sure he could do that.He set our time for 1250 to play our remaining 9 that we had ALREADY paid for the day before and said we are good to go. We come back the next day and the SAME kid that helped us the day prior, said we couldn’t do that & acted like he didn’t know who we were and like he had never talked to us?! he said there’s nothing he could do about that and if we want to play we had to pay AGAIN for 9 holes!? & he was the one who told us it was fine and even had went and asked someone if he could do that to be sure it was ok. TERRIBLE SERVICE all around from the majority of the employees. At this point, it’s just expected to have terrible service wherever you turn. I came in to tell my husband what they had told my dad and the lady in the restaurant was nice&professional and asked who we spoke to and called over and when she called he was being sarcastic and rude to her &he STILL wouldn’t honor what he had said the day prior. There are too many nice places to stay to deal with such rude customer service. The only thing we were excited about at this point during the stay was leaving. They need to do a serious staff clean out. We will never come back here again and will be sure to tell anyone we can to stay away from this place and spend their hard earned...
Read moreHOTEL 2 stars because for a "luxury hotel in wasn't very luxury" valet was pretty slow and seemed like they didn't want to be there, the manager for the afternoon shift wasn't very knowledgeable, and really did not give us any details of the events around the hotel. For a suite room it was very mediocre. The only thing that made the room good was a huge flat screen TV, the little fireplace, and of course the lakeside view to watch the ducks in the morning. Other than that I will complain that the closet extremely small so I assume they don't expect yes to stay too long lol and if you do need the closet make sure you bring your own hangers there's only one . The bathroom is super outdated and only one sink in a suite room. The bed was a nice size and it was comfortable. No couch to sit on just a table and two chairs .
STAFF minus the front desk check in young man . Everyone else was very pleasant and friendly. Bryan at broken arrow was awesome. Devynee the slot tech when your machine is broken we'll be there as quick as you can and she's very friendly. The table dealer James was super kind he even wished us a happy birthday the next day. As well as the floor security attendance they were super friendly. And even the waitress at Wendell restaurant what's super friendly kind. For all of those I give five stars.
FOOD 2 stars for market food what's super bland we got the flatbread nachos loaded anything like all of the ingredients for bland with no flavor 4 stars for Broken Arrow food it was delicious we went here for breakfast twice. We had the hog plates as well as the steak and eggs. And the next day French toast . Bryan was our server the first day and he was excellent. He made the most delicious cranberry mimosa. He was very attentive and had a great friendly spirit. 5 stars for Wendell restaurant downstairs which is by reservation and dress to impress . This is where we celebrate our birthday dinner . And it was hands down the best food in this hotel. You're definitely going to spend money in his restaurant but it will be worth it. We have the bone marrow which I was not a fan of. We also have the chicken tortilla soup which is the best soup ever very fulfilling. We also had the amazing short ribs and the ribeye steak which were both delicious.. Melissa was our server and she was so sweet and so nice the even got complimentary cheesecake and chocolate cake for our birthday.
DRINKS no stars I'm not able to give Stars because there were no alcoholic beverages allowed on the gaming floor. And the only time we had liquor was in our room or at broken arrow .. on Friday and Saturday you are allowed to take shots in a gated area on the game and floor but you can't walk around with it.
ENTERTAINMENT there were a few things going on during our stay. There was a comedian Thursday nights, ladies night with Friday and Saturday at club 49 but we did not attend because there was a cover charge for males, which is insane because we're already in the hotel. We went on the hiking trails which were beautiful. And if you don't look up the information yourself most likely the front desk will not let you know that you can rent bikes and ride on the trail.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE was good!, what made this experience good was the ability to head down to the casino 24/7 . The view and the peacefulness was amazing. And if it wasn't for our birthday dinner I don't think this stay would have been great . It's definitely a place to check out . I would recommend one or two days . We initially stayed four days and 3 nights. If you get a chance to get into the town you'll enjoy all the little shops as well as tasty treats. And of course the Apache casino it's small but a very clean friendly...
Read moreMy stay at the Inn of the Mountain Gods was influenced significantly by its stunning location, earning a three-star rating primarily for this reason. However, several aspects of our visit fell short of expectations, particularly in terms of customer service and overall amenities.
Check-in Experience The initial check-in process left much to be desired. We were not greeted warmly or provided with an overview of the hotel's amenities, which is typically expected at a resort and spa. The staff member at the front desk seemed disengaged, making us feel as though we were intruding on his workday. While the valet staff was friendly, their limited English proficiency created confusion regarding directions and services.
Room Quality I booked a Superior King Luxury room, which was average at best. The room itself was adequately sized, but the bathroom was in need of modernization. On the positive side, the spacious television and picturesque lake view were enjoyable features. However, the closet was quite small, and we struggled to find sufficient storage space for our belongings, especially since only one robe was provided for two guests.
Casino Experience The casino, advertised as 20,000 square feet, felt less expansive than expected, possibly due to the inclusion of open areas without gaming options. Nevertheless, the casino staff were welcoming and provided a more hospitable experience compared to the front desk. It is worth noting that drinks are not permitted on the gaming floor, and there are designated areas for consumption, which felt somewhat restrictive. While slot machines were abundant, the variety of blackjack and roulette options was limited.
Dining Options Dining at the hotel offered mixed experiences. We had dinner at The Wendell, a high-end restaurant, where the service from our waitress, Melissa, was outstanding. She ensured that we were well taken care of. Breakfast at the bar area, however, was inconsistent. One staff member was unfriendly, while another was accommodating. The Market area had a limited selection, and some food items lacked quality, which was disappointing for a casino resort.
Other Amenities We enjoyed a beautiful scenic walk along the trails, although finding our way to them required some effort, as there was little guidance from the hotel. The resort offers various activities, including biking, boating, skeet shooting, and horseback riding, but we had to figure out how to reserve these experiences independently.
Conclusion Overall, my experience at the Inn of the Mountain Gods merits a three-star rating, primarily due to the breathtaking views and a few standout individuals who contributed positively to our stay. In the future, I may consider exploring other resort options or even a cabin stay, taking advantage of the nearby Casino Apache, which is also affiliated...
