This property is fairly new, for the most part, having been developed in 2016 or so. Manufactured houses were brought in and installed, and the four largest are called 'cottages', with the smaller cabins called 'tiny cottages'. ||They are painted an antiseptic bright white, with some gray and black added. The wooden-like flooring is a medium to dark brown and our unit (#3) had a few prints and three plastic plants for decoration. Otherwise, there is no 'life' or 'personality' to the buildings.||The unit was clean upon our arrival, but there were weeds growing by the hot tub and one trim piece on the front porch was pulled loose an inch or so. Not a big deal, but it's something that should have been corrected. ||The bed (king size) was normal size and very comfortable. Two HVAC split units were installed, one in the living room, kitchen area. The other in the bedroom. Both worked very well, but the two remote controls were not the same.||Two televisions, we didn't turn on, were in the living room and bedroom. ||The parking lot is paved with pea gravel and it tracks into the unit if one doesn't scrape shoes prior to entry on the mat. ||The courtyard area was lovely with artificial grass and the hot tub (we didn't use) and two bright red chairs for enjoying the view of Strawberry Creek behind the unit. The rear porch was nice, but had to be accessed through the bedroom and it was enclosed, with no steps to the yard below. ||The bathroom area was nice but the shower head needs to be replaced, preferably with a 'wand' type. Supplied shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all good and worked well.||We paid $15 for a one-hour 'early' arrival, for whatever reason. We left an hour early but don't expect to get a $15 refund, for whatever reason.||The property is 'non-hosted', meaning a person representing the property will not be seen or heard from, other than text or email. ||There was no cook top or freezer in our unit, which I thought to be odd. The coffee maker was a pod type, so we brought our own drip brew coffee machine, which worked out nicely.||My basis for comparison was a property we stayed out in Pine, two miles south of Strawberry, a year earlier for 4 July 2024. ||We will stay at the Pine property next year, instead.||Yes, the property was in a nice environment, but the traffic noise from Fossil Creek Road was very noisy at times. ||Also, of note, there are three distinct locations for the property. The Strawberry Inn is actually on the other side of Highway 87 and the Lower Park and Upper Park are several hundred yards apart on Fossil Creek. Oddly, again, there is no signage for Lower Park or Upper Park and MANY people arriving for Upper Park pulled into Lower Park and had to turn around and head up the road a bit.||Secret: Fossil Creek Farm Cafe is a WINNER for breakfast (after 8). Mama Joes serves some pretty good italian dishes and it's a short walk in...

We stayed for four nights in Airstream We won’t stay in an airstream again. The airstreams are overpriced for the amenities offered.
Cell service: zero. Internet: extremely spotty and unreliable.
The details:
The check in process was difficult and confusing because you don’t get the check in email until you arrive and there’s basically zero cell service in Strawberry/Pine. I had no idea the airstreams were located away from the main property until we got there. There is no bathroom door. This was not advertised on the website. It was pouring rain almost our entire stay, so we had zero privacy while using the toilet and showering because we couldn’t go outside to wait. Additionally, there is very little privacy in the trailers as a whole. There are four trailers lined up in a gravel lot with residential homes behind. (There is a dog that barks incessantly- they provided foam ear plugs). The curtains in the trailer didn’t provide much privacy. They advertised “luxury linens” but I’ve never seen such used, thin, and dingy towels like the towels at the Strawberry Inn. The word “MUD” was written in Sharpie on the towels we were provided (see photos) which made our stay feel bad and like an afterthought. It seems like the airstreams were remodeled for Instagram photos and not for a truly enjoyable vacation experience. I can see one person staying for one night maybe having a somewhat enjoyable experience. I understand that the airstreams are vintage, but the windows leaked with all of the rain (literally water dripped in on the counters) and the whole experience was extremely damp (even with the fans running constantly). On our second morning, a man came around and sprayed pesticides around our airstream while we were in it getting ready. This “maintenance” was not communicated to us and I’m surprised that the Strawberry Inn owners chose to do this type of maintenance while they have guests in their trailers. I did find out later that the pesticide is organic and essential oils based, which was a relief and the owner tried to rectify the situation by offering us a bottle of wine (which was a nice gesture).
Pros: The red strawberry mugs are adorable. The trailer was cute and very clean. We were able to take long showers, which was a nice surprise, as trailers are usually notorious for tiny water heaters. We were eventually given better towels that didn’t say MUD on them, which was nice. We really enjoyed the Adirondack chairs and the deck area. The beds were comfortable. It’s a great home-base location for the different outdoor things to do around the area. There was a whole group of elk that walked right through our site!!
If we stay in the area again, we may try a little cottage/bungalow or stay in...
Read moreWe loved our stay at the cottages at the Strawberry Inn. Cottage 14 was perfect. Cute patio deck with a small yard that was perfect for our dog. It also had a nice picnic table. It was clean and comfortable. Adorable cottage feel that we were hoping for. The space was perfect for us to enjoy a nice Mother /daughter /dog getaway!
As a traveler who reads reviews to help determine if the stay fits my needs, I'll add a few notes: cottage 14 was a great location. It was close to the little play park and dog park on the upper park area, but wasn't the cottage right next to the play park (15) nor right next to the dog park (16). It also had the porch on the back of the cottage (vs others have it on the front, facing the main road /or the side, facing other cottages). The cottages are close together, so know that you will be taking in the conversations of other guests when enjoying your deck space ;) The backyard is not enclosed, so we needed to leash our dog whenever outside, so for packing purposes, I would suggest a long leash and a stake, so that you can let your dog have some roaming capability. We were so thankful we packed ours! P.s for dog owners, it is in nature and wildlife frequents (we saw, what we think were raccoons, and Elk roam- so please don't leave your small dogs unattended outside). The Windmill coffee and yard games seen on socials are down the road a bit from the upper and lower park (at the Main Inn) -drivable, but not really walkable bc of the traffic on the main road. The Pie Bar is also down the road (somewhat across the street from the main Inn, but not the cottages and airstreams). Streaming on the room TVs does not work. The Internet is slow but works fine. Kureig coffee in room, not brew (a few pods were provided, but pack your own sweeteners if needed). Full size fridge was wonderful and enough kitchen stocked items for light meal prep and reheats. A/C/heater unit is very loud over bed. They provide ear plugs and noise machine, but good to know if that is something that is an issue for...
