Stopped by today to take pictures in anticipation of Fossil Creek Farm's GRAND OPENING over the 4th of July weekend and met the Proprietor, (Keri, Kari, Carrie?) not sure how to spell your name, sorry.
It's been so fun to watch the progression of the establishment as they get ready to offer new selections of breakfast and lunch for this small mountain community of Pine Strawberry.
If the delicious scent of bacon permeating the air is any indication... along with the shaded, breezy, 2 level location along Fossil Creek lined with rows of picnic tables covered with beautiful umbrellas and hanging baskets ... the people of Pine/Strawberry and all of our visitors will make this a permanent gathering place.    Read moreBest food we've had on our stay in Pine and I'm not just saying that to say that. We've eaten at a couple of places that were high on the recommendations list and they were just ok. We had the #3 and #4 breakfast burritos and they were soooo delicious!! They were pretty big in size and the flavors were amazing!! Also came with salsa on the side that was great in flavor as well. I also got a mountain detox smoothie which was delicious and a strawberry cupcake. The cupcake was moist and the strawberry frosting was not too sweet but perfect. I would most definitely recommend stopping by this place...

The tortillas are legit with great flavor even by itself. The eggs were perfectly cooked and all other ingredients are of good quality. Get the green chili breakfast burrito, it's phenomenal. The Denver is also good as well and the salsa was fresh and I would say is between a medium and a mild for how spicy it is IMO.
My gold standard is Romero's down in the valley and I wasn't sure what to expect being out of the valley it's always been a coin toss for me. I'm adding Fossil creek Farm to my Google maps list of...
