Bandits Restaurant — Restaurant in Four Corners States

Well we finally got our schedules committments and responsibilities in order so we could go and enjoy Bandits Family friends and neighbors have raved about it and the reviews have been stellar. We had hogh hopes of a delightful time and a delicious meal. Those blessings were not forth coming. We stood at the waited to be seated sign for almost 12 minutes. A another couple offered us their table. Another 12 minutes awaiting for any type of wait staff a young waitress came with menus and took our drink order. We inquired as to whether the prime rib was still available; she said that she had not been informed otherwise. Unfortunately she had like a valley girl attitude. Seemed like we were a bother even to be there. Should have departed then. Yes the place was busy with about 60 patrons however they did have eight staff persons on the floor. Since our visit was going sour; one tends to notice the negatives. So our drinks come beer is cool not cold. Now some time has passed our waitress now returns informs us there is no prime rib. Should have cashed out. So went with the rib eye and she asked and I requested that the dinner salad come out first. Guess what it came withe meal. The baked potatoe was not baked through the steamed vegetables had been steamed but were cold and the portion was minuscule. The positives were sald was fresh and good size the butter and sour cream portions were very generous the rib eye was delicious. My wifes burger was was very tasty. Now we had the table adjacent the band. Great band however whipping out my decibel meter on the phone 92 db was very uncomfortable. Oh when the meals came still had to wait for silverware and napkins. Now the meal is complete, near during the meal was there a stop by to see if all was well or if there was something else Now we had to locate the waitress for the bill another adventure. Then trying to pay the bill another adventure. I am very happy their business is doing well may have been an off night. But with two of their staff playing on their phones and the owners not managing but trying to constantly react. Not a great scenario. We will try lunch in the future or come for the band but not a combo...

Mamajoes Listen. This place gets a lot of unfair shade in the reviews and it’s mostly centered around wait times and staff rudeness. Step back and think for a second that perhaps the one of 3-4 restaurants in a five mile radius might be a little busy and very overworked.

That being said, here is my honest review factoring that in. I ordered two large pizzas and an order of breadsticks. Total came to $65. I’m not going to hate on the price because that’s pretty standard for non-chain restaurant pizza.

Pizzas were a solid 6.8/10, we had a supreme and a pepperoni/cheese split. They were cooked great and the sauce was tasty. I would say these are slightly better than any chain restaurant, but wouldn’t hold up to other specialty places. Again, this is in tiny Strawberry so this level is quite impressive.

Breadsticks were definitely on the lower side for us. I’d rate them a 4/10. Nothing wrong with them but nothing special either.. a box of frozen breadsticks from the grocery store would be equivalent or better.

I mean no harm to this place but wanted to provide an honest insight from a non local. I would recommend this place to anyone and I absolutely would go back.

One thing that did make me head til it is behind the “bar” they had a few cans of coke that had been opened and Saran-wrapped to “save” them. Not sure why they were being saved but I would question if that’s an appropriate storage method.. but it was...

I recently stayed a weekend in Pine to ride my motorcycle around and enjoy the weather. On my way back from an excursion I stopped here with a friend based on some reviews I had read and I am sure glad that we did. This is my new favorite spot up in this region. I had the steak nachos with a raspberry tea. They use some good steak for these and the nachos are piled high! The raspberry tea was really good as well. I had read a review that the peach cobbler here was great so naturally my friend and I each ordered some. This cobbler is great! They top it with some ice cold vanilla ice cream and the whole thing is to die for. It was so good that I made an almost 3hr trip to have it again like a week later and ordered the same thing since I had been craving it ever since.
