This hotel wasn't horrible, but it left a lot to be desired. Beds are just ok, pillows are not great, and breakfast is almost non-existent. Some cereal, bagels, yogurt, instant oatmeal, and coffee. Service checking in was ok bit he definitely didn't go out of his way to help or make me feel welcome. Also if you stay multiple days the pool hours are 3 pm to 10 pm. not great! Cute sitting area outside of a picnic or something.

Albert was kind enough to get us a room to sleep in a day early as we were making a 6 HR drive in from DEN and arriving at 6:30 a.m. We were there to attend a memorial for 9 a.m. and needed to take a quick nap, shower and dress before attending. It was a rough turn-a-round trip but well worth it. If Albert hadn't worked out that extra day for us I don't know what we would have done. Thank you so much!

So weird that the pool is only open from 3pm-10pm. I can only assume that is to dissuade any people checking out to swim before they go. For some reason. This made our kids pissed. But the rest of our stay was fine. The room was a room. And it was conveniently located close enough to town. Don’t expect much more than cereal, muffins, coffee for the “continental” breakfast.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. From the check in (husband described the clerk as friendly as a bobcat on PMS and he was met with a lot of attitude) to the last day was miserable. We checked out early even though it had been paid for. My husband came for an intense dental surgery. The dentist put us in this hotel since it is close to emergency services if we needed it. Carpet is worn, and looks dirty. Room had a musty smell. Couldn’t turn on the heat because there was food in the register. The beds weren’t comfortable, the floor would have been better. Bathroom looked dingy, poor lighting (most lights were burned out or very dim)11:30 at night the young adults were wrestling and screaming, being loud. One was out in the hallway talking on his phone on speaker phone and I asked him to be quiet. That didn’t happen. After 30 more minutes went to their room asked them to be quiet again. They settled down a bit but were still loud. The next night same thing except add a dog barking and even more noise. Called the front desk several times with no answer. Finally Talked to someone at front desk and they said they couldn’t do anything if we had already asked them to be quiet. My husband needed rest and somewhere comfortable and clean to rest after surgery so I found a different place. When I went to check out I let the clerk know we were checking out early, she didn’t inquire why and I let her know. She was unapologetic and offered an insincere “sorry”. The dentist also called. I hope he does not choose to use this dump again. I would not recommend if you have kids especially babies that crawl. I found a chew can under the vanity. I know this isn’t a 5 star hotel but I was expecting a little more with what they charge for a room....

I was severely disappointed. The front desk clerk was polite at first but later on was extremely rude. Accommodation was sufficient at best. This is a "construction, last min, passing thru" hotel. The room was clean. But in need of repairs, the curtain rod was barely hanging on and the fridge made a high pitch squeal all night. The carpets desperately need a shampooing, especially in the hallway. (I came to pagosa to visit my sister whom i hadnt seen in over a year) We were Celebrating my kids and my sisters kids birthdays with a quick dip in the pool the first night, I noticed zero towels so I asked the desk clerk for towels . I asked him for 10 because we had 6 kids and 2 adults in the pool. He immediately got pissed saying the pool was only for guests only. I told him I am a guest, and it's kids. He lectured me this would not happen the second night. After seeing the dirty hot tub and overflowing trash cans he didn't have to worry because we didn't take the kids again and stayed only an hour. This was the whole reason we booked the hotel, because we have kids ...and kids want to swim. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Breakfast was as skimpy as they get, carbs and sugar. Later on the next day I had to ask for more towels in our room because we had 4 and there was 5 of us. He looked inconvenienced. I have worked in hotel establishments, and I would have fired any employee who was this rude. I have a feeling however this guy is the manager so it's probably not going to improve. I'll pay the extra $100 next time and stay at a nicer hotel or vrbo. I work too hard to be treated like trash or an inconvenience at a place I'm paying...

Overall service was substandard. We needed to extend our stay 1 night however the desk employee had left the premises, leaving her husband in charge of the front desk for her. He said he could not help us, had no info other than to say we needed to wait until she returned, maybe in an hour...which put us past the 11:00 checkout time...as she did not return in an hour. Then an hour later, after checkout time had passed, he told us he spoke with her and we probably could stay, might have to change rooms, but the military discount we had been using, was not offered on friday. The room was older, basic, no frills, but clean. Toilet water cut off leaked. Towels very small and worn. Very few low quality amenities, soap, shampoo... frig had no freezer. Walls thin, neighbors alarm jolted us awake at 6. Generally could use a good updating!! Breakfast was toast, cold cereal, banana, hard boiled eggs, yogurt...juice was...
