The take out menus we got to see while we waited 30 min to be sat was cheaper than the inside menus. When we mentioned it, they told us the plastic ones on the tables were the correct ones. Okay so why have the incorrect menus for customer to see while they wait. The host was extremely rude. He didn’t even want to talk to us and shrugged our questions off. When we finally got sat we noticed and we were hungry so we decided to bite the bullet. We were so wrong to do this. We got the cheese bread appetizer. Whatever it was called. It looked like Walmart great value bread with cheese melted on top for $8. What a joke. The waitress took forever and doesn’t bring us straws that we asked for 3 times so we had to get another waiter to so. Everything on the menu is $15 bucks. Even for spaghetti. The noodles tasted like canned spaghetti you give to children for a quick meal. Was so not worth the money. The glasses felt greasy and the food was bland. Save your money and cook you’d own food if you’re staying at a resort like we did. I could have made better spaghetti. The staff doesn’t care about customer service because they add gratuity of 20% when they took forever and a day. Our waitress did not deserve even 10% tip. I should have talked to the manager but it’s obvious this whole towns a...
Read morePreviously we avoided trying this restaurant because of the reviews. Tonight it was our 3rd choice, #1 was closed and #2 was an hour wait. So we gave it a shot and it was definitely worth it. Restaurant is much better than ratings indicate. We had about a 15 minute wait. When seated server promptly came to the table took our drink and appetizer order and brought water. Appetizer was served quickly our order taken we soon had our salads. We had the Cesar and house salads, Duke pizza, osso bucco, and vegetable pesto. Server made sure we knew that osso bucco would take a little longer than most dishes but about as long as the pizza. Cheesy bread and salads were good and we were kept updated on how long it would be for our main dish. When the meal came the only criticism is that the pizza had been garnished with red onions (not indicated on the menu). Server apologized and asked what could she do to make it right. Definitely a much better response from the previous evening at a different restaurant when the servers response was “okay” followed by nothing. The pasta was good and the osso bucco was amazing moist and tender with great flavor. Start to finish great food and service that...
Read moreWe were very hungry for dinner when we got to Gustoso, having spent the day visiting Mesa Verde. We ordered calamari, pepperoni pizza, the Trio, and the chicken parm. Food came fast and the portions were generous; there was also a basket of cheese breadsticks. We spent over $100, after tax and tips, however, there were enough leftovers for 3 of us for a light lunch the next day (we warmed the leftovers at our hotel).
The restaurant was quaint, with some stereotypical Italian decor. There was outdoor patio seating as well as indoors. The wait staff were polite. The food was good and hearty, and was served prettily. The chicken pieces in the chicken parm was crispy and thick, the spaghetti was al dente, the Trio consisted of a large meatball, a large italian sausage and pasta with the right amount of spices, pizza was thin sliced and the house salad was delicious as well. There's a wine list as well but we didn't order any since we were driving to our next hotel an hour away. It was a popular restaurant as there was a line of people when we left. Plenty of parking spaces.
