I will lead with this, in addition to looking like a cheap 80s motel, that so many people have noted before, Wyndham Pagosa also have bed bugs like one! I've given enough time for Wyndham and Worldmark to reply to my grievances after a letter dated 01/22/19 was sent detailing an incident. I preface this review with the fact that I did elect to allow opportunity to correct this before going public. The only follow up I personally received from this incident was a call from an insurance adjuster on 02/21 stating they are denying any liability in the case. A call that took only two minutes and a result I expected. I didn't receive any customer service gestures, follow up, or even a simple apology from Wyndham Pagosa, Wyndham corporate, or Worldmark. In fact, I was met with the opposite (and frankly the reason why I feel so encouraged to at the very least take a jab at their reputation). This is all particularly dissapointing considering this was the first time to Pagosa and first experience with Wyndham. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews of this place before booking it. The place is poorly managed and unprepared for guests. They clearly lack any sense of professionalism and their "resort" should be downgraded to the lowest rating. Hot water runs cold, doors don't lock, coffee pots are left dirty, microwaves are left dirty, bathroom sink doesn't work, the furniture is old, the carpet is stained, the tile is coming up in the bathroom, the outside layout of the place is odd and difficult to navigate... Need I continue? Honestly, I wasn't bothered by any of it. I felt our stay, which was mostly inside, was decent. After all, we came here to get away. That all changed when I woke up on January 21, 2019 to bed bug bites and a bed bug crawling on my arm!!! To make a long story short, the assistant manager came and was very dismissive. Specifically making every excuse possible except face the truth and simply apologize this had happened. He went as far as to say that my bites looked like burn marks and that it wasn't a bed bug at all. Yeah... Cause I go around burning myself. I should post pictures and ask others if this is a bed bug? I've stayed in some not so great hotels, but this experience will stick out as the worst. It could have honestly turned out to be a memorable experience. For every problem only presents an opportunity, but that all was quickly lost. I felt during the whole experience that the appreciation for me as a guest at their resort was undermined. Repeated attempts to humiliate me and my concerns will not go unnoticed. EDIT: I got a letter from Worldmark on February 23 stating they were turning the case over to their insurance carrier. Hints why I got the call stating they were denying the claim. In it, Worldmark did apologize.

Wyndham in Pagosa Springs is a private timeshare like property that appears to include all sizes of homes, townhomes down to what appears to be studio to 1 bedrooms. It's a large community and during our recent visits there during heavy snowfall, getting in and out of the property, around the property was difficult. We were not staying there, but friends who were getting married were. We had no map, there were very few signs to help guide you around the property. Especially during heavy snowfall, especially at night. The Property does no allow direct booking, so you are always required to go through a 3rd party. All that said, the couple who booked the property got lucky, and we ended up having the ceremony onsite, looking directly off the balcony in the snow and THAT was perfect! After digging out a bridal party path and 6×4 area to stand, we had a perfect winter wedding for the happy couple and never left the timeshare!

Had never stayed here before and wasn't really sure what to expect from the website or the online reviews, which were mixed....we stayed as non members. Im guessing what lodging you end up getting really determines your experience? However, we arrived very early and our place was not ready but we received a call as soon as our place was ready, and the woman at the front desk was super helpful. Our lodging was right on a pond with a great balcony and the place looked newly removed and was clean...it was great! Guests get to use the rec center pool and hot tub which are all more than adequate. Not for guests who want to walk into town...too far but plenty of walking and biking trails in the neighborhood. Overall I was very pleasantly surprised.

The absolute worst "resort" experience my husband and I have ever had. So bad, in fact, that we drove 4 1/2 hrs, saw the unit they had placed us in, and rather than stay even 1 night, we drove the 4 1/2 hrs home in pouring rain.

We have been to other Wyndham/Worldmark properties and been very satisfied. The unit we were given here was so tiny as to be claustrophobic (kitchen and living room essentially the same space, no island to prep food) and our only "view" looked out onto a street, altho we were supposedly "on the golf course." Whereas we have always had a private balcony or patio, this unit (which looked like a cheap duplex from the outside) had a bit of cracked cement that faced the street and was barely large enough to hold 2 wrought iron chairs and a tiny "table" between them.

The layout of the entire resort was atrocious. It was like a mini suburban neighborhood, with confusing street signs and numbering (we got lost coming and going from the check-in building to our unit) and the roads were so poorly maintained we could not avoid massive potholes.

The closest hot tub or pool (which we use regularly at other locations where they are easily accessible) was a confusing 10-minute drive away in a rec center. In every other Worldmark/Wyndham we could easily walk to these and outdoor pools are common. Every other place we've been to also has grills available, either near each unit or even on a private balcony. We brought steak and hamburger to grill but there were no grills in sight.

We are Worldmark "owners" who pay dues and the staff were sympathetic and kind. However, they were booked solid and could not move us to a better unit. Be aware that the pictures of this place are extremely deceptive. The only units that match the "resort" description are the few that actually overlook the water and are likely very expensive (or high #s of points for owners). The vast majority are like our unit. If your plan is to spend the entire day in the town of Pagosa Springs and just come back to your unit to sleep, this might work out for you but you could likely find a much nicer hotel room in town for less $. For owners, save your points for an actual resort rather than this deceptive,...

All of the people working here are fantastic. It's obvious they want to do all they can to make their visitors happy. Not sure if all units were as outdated as ours at Masters Place, but I suspect they are. The flat screen tv covered the old opening fairly well and the adjustable mount was handy. I see speakers in the wall but no way to get tv sound to them.

The kitchen was a bit tight but everything worked. Dishwasher is old and cheap with a few broken, rusty prongs.

The master bathroom had a large whirlpool tub, a separate tiny shower stall with a wimpy shower head, a squatty little potty and one sink. Oh, and a washer and dryer. No separating doors between anything. And the shower door was tight.

The beds were comfy and storage was adequate, but there are no USB charging ports and few outlets.

The loveseat in our unit had a full stretch cover over it. A rep promoted new furniture is on the way,but shipments are way behind.

The deck had a beautiful view over a pond on the golf course. Much of the wood was very weathered and in need of replacement.

All that being said, this was a great location for our trip. Convenient for jumping off to many other locations and close to town for dining, tubing, shopping or seeing...
