Front desk staff were fantastic as well as the security and housekeeping they genuinely felt like they wanted us to enjoy our stay. We had the paradise pool suite at the Frankfort location it was overall clean carpets shampooed, pool was clean. However, for 1500 dollars for 3 nights there were some noticeable improvements that should be addressed. First off when the housekeeping/maintenance came by which if you have a pool suite they have to come by daily for pool maintenance (they do try to communicate the time they come when you first check in) didnât make the bed or take out the trash which a normal Marriott would do also when they would come by they give you new soaps and other hygiene products it ended up being more then we got when we first checked in and they just kind of leave it on the counter in a plastic bag. The mirrors in the room were chipped in a few places and the speakers were covered in dust and what looked like dirt, we had problems with the dvd player(maybe a poor connection), the wifi was awful streaming movies would pause every couple minutes to buffer my phone was faster without wifi and with 2 bars. The bed was a rock and made it hard to get a good night sleep but if you like a firm bed all power to you. We did like the labels on all switches for the amenities but there wasnât any clear instructions for the steam room other then turn the knob and we were concerned when it didnât shut off for about 30 minutes after the timer ran out. The shower was atrocious it took 20 minutes to get to Luke warm and had less water pressure then a watering can. Also in the pictures on your website it shows a tv in the pool room which our room didnât have and it made us use the pool/hot tub less then we expected through out our stay. The only entertainment was music over Bluetooth in the pool room but we were afraid to turn it up because of neighboring suites. We personally found ourselves using the hot tub way more then the pool so lf we stay here again which I would, I would save the 500 bucks for 3 nights and get the room with 2 massage chairs and just a hot tub. We drove 8 hours from the middle of Pennsylvania because we saw this on tik tok 2 years ago and saved to come here and we were kind of disappointed on the lack of attention to detail. This was a great opportunity for us however to explore Chicago without being downtown. The the person or couple reading this review wanting to book a room with a pool you will not get your monies worth unless you donât plan on leaving for your...
Read moreMy wife and I decided come stay a night for our anniversary. It was a nice experience, but for $500/night, it should have been much better. It's seems to be one of those "we stayed just so we could say our room had a swimming pool in it" type of things.
Sauna: 3.5/5 Pros: You can turn the shower on and the sauna at the same time. If you turn the shower on cold while the sauna is on, you get a crazy sensation.
Cons: The only seating is two cheap plastic outdoor chairs. No bench seating ruins the experience.
Hot Tub: 2/5 Pros: Technically it's a hot tub. It gets hot.
Cons: There are only 2 jets. Near zero bubbles. Doesn't start getting hot until you turn on the timer and seems like it just keeps getting hotter and hotter. It's connected to the pool so it likely uses the pool heaters when it's turned on.
Pool: 4/5 Pros: Dimmable pool lights. The waterfall was very cool. It's like being in a rainforest during a storm. The temperature is nice 92 degrees.
Cons: It's to small to do any actual swimming. The waterfall is much louder than you'd expect.
Room: 3/5 Pros: It was clean and had a ton of amenities. Plenty of lighting and mirrors.
Cons: Temperature - The room was too warm to be comfortable. It stayed between 72-74 degrees until about 3am then it finally got down to 68.
Lighting - The lights do not dim like they should. They use LEDs which need certain types of dimmers to dim properly. They dimmed very little.
Appliances - The small refrigerator didn't work when we first got there. We had to use ice and the small bucket, and the freezer to cool our wine, water, etc. The next morning I turned it back on to see if it worked and it was cold a few hours later. It probably over-heated.
Massage Chair - The massage chair was...... meh. The wife said the ones at the nail salons are much better. Don't get a room just for the chair.
Bathroom - There is a reason they don't show the bathrooms on the website. It was out of date. It's similar to what you would find in an...

I booked with Sybaris at the Frankfort location for 2 nights and requested the âparadise pool suite.â On the day of my reservation my girlfriend and I flew in all the way from DC to experience a romantic get away. I rented a car and drove a hour from the airport to arrive to our suite. We arrived at the location and checked in smoothly, everyone who worked in the office had good energy and vibes. We get checked in and due to us being tired from traveling and excited to reach our destination and relax we didnât realize it until the next morning, but something was off.
On this location and I believe many other locations they only have a select few rooms that actually look as nice and up to date as the ones shown on the site. I contacted management asking was there anything I can do because the pictures on the website of what the room is supposed to look like is very misleading. Management then responds by letting me know next time I book with them that I should request an updated room if thatâs what I wanted. But how should I know to request an updated room when thatâs all the website promotes?
If I go online to pay top dollar for a specific pair of Jordanâs that I see being promoted and Iâm sent a pair of adidas instead and the store tells me, âwell you still got a shoe, just next time clarify you only want a jordanâs shoe and not just any shoeâ how is that fair?â I paid money for what I saw being advertised. Nowhere on the website does it say you wonât be guaranteed an updated room.
Management eventually put me in an updated room on my second day of my stay. While the room was very nice on the second day I wish I couldâve experienced what I paid for on both days. The room also was supposed to come with champagne and I was told they ran out and were only serving wine.
I would return to stay here but I now know to request an updated room, which you...
