My mom and I stayed there for 6 days. We were in a handicapped accessible room. During our entire stay we didn't have hot water at all. Our water was luke warm at best. The fire alarm went off one night, at that time we called the front desk to see if it was a false alarm or real, due to my mother being in a wheel chair and her also having to had just got in the shower. When I called down I didn't get an answer so I sent a family member down to see what was happening, and to see what the next step should be since we were on the 3rd floor and the elevator near us wasn't working. There wasn't an employee in sight, they had all evacuated, turned out it wasn't a fake alarm, there was a gas leak on the 2nd floor and we needed to evacuate. I quickly got my mother dressed. My family member sent firemen up to our room to help us navigate our way down the best we can. They were able to tell us where to go and which elevator to use. Also, we had to asked for extra towels every day because our room was only given 2. One morning I left to take my mom to the hospital around 5 am, I put the do not disturb sign out on the door, I returned late that evening and I noticed the sign was gone, I initially thought someone just removed the sign as a prank. When I walk in my room I saw the sign on the other side of the door and one of the beds had been made. Not that I should complain that the bed had been made or the bathroom had been cleaned, it's the fact I had placed the sign on the door because I hadn't had time in the morning to put important things away and when I got back, those things had been move to the other bed that wasn't made. I've stayed at other La Quinta's before without any problems, however, this is by far the worst experience I've had, and I usually don't write NEGATIVE reviews unless I feel it is necessary!! There may as well not be a breakfast station. Like I stated before, we stayed 6 days. My family member and I came down for breakfast. I saw bagels and bread so I made a bagel, I then looked for something, anything to put on the bagel so it wouldn't just be a "plain" bagel, there wasn't anything. I asked for cream cheese, they said they didn't have any. There wasn't any butter, there wasn't anything at all. There was however a very, very long line for the waffle station, next to the waffle station was a jar of jam that was nearly empty. Needless to say, we didn't eat breakfast at all during our stay. Like I mentioned before, no hot water, hardly any towels. Hallways smelled of pot on a daily basis, regardless of the no smoking signs, we were on the 3rd floor. Our beds were clean enough, however, the bed skirts could have used washing, stains were noticeable. Need more handicapped spaces!! There's only 3 out front. Also, there is only 1, literally 1 luggage cart!!! Seriously!! Invest in another cart!!! Having to leave my ID just to get a luggage cart is ridiculous, plus it didn't even work that well. The hotel was reasonable for how long we stayed, however, for all the issues we had we...
Read moreI would give this a negative rating if possible. Outside had spiders all over as well as tons of dog poop in the back and trash on the grass.. They did have dog poop bags and trash cans, although it felt like we were the only ones to use them. Ok, so let's get into the the Rooms.. they were terrible... and smell of smoke from the elevator all the way to the room and inside the room. The room is dirty with a broken toilet paper holder, shallow sink that splashes everywhere, dirty refrigerator, everything feels dirty here... I called ahead about the breakfast buffet and was told they have a "hot breakfast" that was a lie.. the only hot thing is the coffee which isnt great and they didnt have flavored creamers or anything.. the only eggs available were hard boiled and the waffles were ok..but tasted rubbery tbh. No juice available either. This is a terrible complimentary breakfast as far as hotels go. The whole hotel is pretty dirty except maybe the lobby with sketchy ppl hanging around in the back constantly and just not great for familys. The back door was not secure or locked by any means so any1 can just walk in there from the street, might as well be a Motel 6. I felt followed and creeped out being there at night and called to the front desk with the barely working phone only to find out there is 0 security, cameras on property and they could honestly care less.. They told me to call the police. Very uncool.. when I first booked it, i booked through my resort and Called after to verify the "hot breakfast" as well as info on dogs as I planned to bring my pup and to let them know i would be arriving into the a.m. as I was driving all night. I was told no problem and upon arrival was told my reservation had been cancelled due to audit issues after driving all night long in a storm and being completely exhausted. (Hence why i had no strength to complain about the room upon further arrival.) Then after advising my resort precharged me and Advised no refunds Possible and I already had paid for entire stay.. multiple times was told they would give me a room even though they had cancelled my reservation due to poor communication (in house). Very poor service and overall terrible stay thus far.. I hope to find another hotel tomorrow if possible. The only positive thing has been that the hotel is animal friendly. More to add.. came home last night there and keys did not work for room.. other guests complained of the same issue prior days as well. Then once in the room our A.c. had been shut off and TV was not working. It is the worst stay I have ever had at a hotel. Almost forgot, we had a false fire alarm scare the crap out of us during our stay as well, that was fun!...
Read moreI normally don’t write reviews, but after what I experienced at La Quinta by Wyndham Fremont/Silicon Valley 46200 landing parkway on September 12, 2025, I feel it’s my responsibility to warn others.
I drove all the way from Southern California to attend my aunt’s funeral. It was a critical and emotional time, and all my family and I needed was proper rest to prepare for the next day. Instead, what we walked into was one of the most unacceptable hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
From the hallways to the rooms, the property was filthy and poorly maintained. I have multiple videos and pictures that clearly show how badly this place is being managed. The first room I was given had visible bugs. After complaining, I was switched to another room that was only slightly better — still nowhere near what a paying guest should expect. My disabled mother, who had her own booking, also had to endure the same conditions.
The next morning, I noticed an EcoLab team on-site, which confirmed what I already suspected — this building has a serious problem with bugs and sanitation. To make matters worse, a man in the elevator told me directly that he had been bitten by bed bugs. This only further confirmed that everything I was seeing and experiencing was real.
What makes this all even more frustrating is that I was told by staff that my fee would be reimbursed. It is now weeks later, and I have still not received my refund, nor have I been contacted by any manager to even acknowledge the issue. This shows a complete lack of accountability and care for guests.
This was not just an inconvenience — it was an added burden during one of the hardest moments of my life. My family and I needed peace and rest, and instead we were put through stress and discomfort.
My honest opinion: this hotel is not being properly cleaned or managed, and it shows. For anyone considering staying here, think twice. The lack of cleanliness, professionalism, and follow-up is absolutely unacceptable.
To be clear, I am still waiting on a follow-up as promised. This hotel has my full and correct information — I am not some troll leaving false reviews. I am a paying guest who travels, and when I spend my hard-earned money, I expect to be treated fairly.
I was told my fee would be reimbursed, yet management has ignored me completely. Before anything else escalates to another channel, I gave them the benefit of the doubt that someone would return my emails and respond immediately. To this day, that has not happened.
This lack of professionalism says everything about how this...
