Not a complaint since I understand the plethora of companies nearby with employees that take lunch breaks around the same time, but the lines are usually very long from 11:30-1:30. We haven't had much of an issue getting a table by the time our food arrives though. My boyfriend and I always split one bowl/plate and are well fed by the end. It's okay but not completely amazing. We had the Ultimate Bowl with all the toppings and due to the rush, it seems they forgot the shrimp and fish balls, but we didn't know until the next time we saw another bowl brimming with toppings. Read moreWas recently in the East Bay and had a huge craving for some asian noodle soup (send n00dz) and this place popped up as one of the top hits around where I was.
It's not like there are too many asian noodle soup options in the Fremont/Hayward area, so I went in a little skeptical, but boy, was I pleasantly surprised!
I went in and had the ho fun noodles + duck, my favorite and it was D-licious with a capital D! Broth was great, not too heavy and really tasty. And for the price, they do NOT skimp on the toppings here.
And the duck, wow. Most chinese duck in the bay is super fatty and the meat is few and far between compared to their counterpart in Hong Kong, but this place had really meaty duck and somehow left all the fat out (a good thing!) in the pieces I had in my soup. Needless to say, I destroyed that bowl and if I wasn't so full, I would've ordered another.
Definitely would be back again if I'm ever in the area. Hell, I may even drive over there from SF JUST to get another bowl of that yummy noodle...
