Breakfast was superb. All 3 days i was there. No water bubbler, no free water bottles, no free ice, no sink in the designated guest kitchen area. (Which is completely seperate from the actual functioning and working kitchen of the house, which is occupied by Stephani , her husband, ans her young 6 year old daughter) There are clean glasses that you can used to pour yourself tap water from the bathroom sink, or you can knock on Stephanie's kitchen door (the kitchen located on her side of the building,) and ask her to full your glass or cup or water bottle and she will gladly do it for you. But it's very hot this summer, and buying water bottles from the local gas station, in order store in the refridgerator provided free of charge in the guest kitchen. If it handy been for no free ice, no bottles of free water and no kitchen sink, no water bubbler, and no free pitcher of water except during breakfast hour problem, my stay was wonderful. There is "roku box," as well as cable TV, and i had access to euro news ans the reuters news channel, thanks to the Roku box. But after that hard climb , up jockey cap mountain located nearby....(the main tourist attraction in town , besides Fryeburg Fair in September ) ....and doing the climb all the way up that mountaim along with a wooden memorial board dedicated to my father with his name (Ahmad Attarchi) and epitaph on it, the lack of free clean water in the place was somewhat of a problem. Used the bathroom sink for tap water, which was cold but not ice cold. If I had had more of a nerve I would have pestered Stephanie to continuously get me ice tap water from the kitchen sink on her side of the building . Remember,, her family's side of the property is the only part of the building with access to a kitchen sink. And ice. No ice, no free bottles of water, no bubbler, other than that it was a great stay. Bring plenty of water bottles ans you will be fine. There is a fridge in the guest area. Store them in there. Remember, this is not a hotel. There is...
Read moreMy wife and I have stayed in dozens of B&B’s, this is one of the best. The young woman and General Manager is Gwen. She is five years old and was the first to say hi when we arrived. She greeted us warmly and made us feel immediately welcome. After introductions, Gwen escorted us into the B&B/home and introduced my wife and me to the second highest in the command, Stephanie, she is Gwen’s Mom. There is also a man, his name is Mike, (could be Stephanie’s wife and Gwen’s Dad), and even though he is a Red Sox fan, and threatened withholding breakfast from me because I am a Yankee fan, he was nice. We stayed in the Chocorua room. It was spacious, nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed, and everything worked as it should. It’s a charming, quaint place with beautiful wide pine board floors. Gwen, Stephanie and Mike are all terrific people. We were only there two nights, but my favorite parts were the breakfasts. Waffles with warm, wild Maine blueberry compote. Wild Maine blueberry crumble cake, delicious. We plan to stay there for the next...
Read moreEach year we have enjoyed staying at ‘The White Gable Inn” in Fryeburg Maine. As always we feel we were blessed by staying in this delightfully charming inn. The owner Stephanie assists us in making, what can sometimes be a somewhat chaotic and long crazy few days, be so much easier and more relaxing by ensuring the room we stay in is immaculately clean. With such simple, kind and meaningful hospitality items; which have gone away, by others in the industry. White Gables Inn ;however, have maintained the charm and kindness of: fresh flowers in our bedroom and bathroom (with clean freshwater in them) and sweet treats for our bedtime sweet candy and always a breakfast offer, should our schedule allow for it. After gathering a quick snack for our long day, we run out the door and look forward to the following night at your inn.
Your attention with helping us for whatever our needs maybe has been very kind and appreciated! Thank you so very much for all you do to continue to remember us each year and treat us like we are visiting close...
