Me and my friends came to see the Christmas lights on thanksgiving and the lights were beautiful and the staff was amazingโฆexcept for 2โฆ at the end of the night I went into the gift shop to get a refund because I couldnโt at the front gate (I bought an extra ticket on accident). I waited until we walked through to get it so I wouldnโt hold my friends backโฆwhich was a big mistake I guess. I walked into the gift shop and at first a man was nice and said โim sorry the gift shop is closedโ and I politely said โoh I was just told to come in here to get a refundโ and this is where it went bad. The lady behind the register got all snippy and said โwell why do you need a refundโ very rudelyโฆ.so i proceeded to tell her why. She kept interrupting me saying โwell the register is turned off alreadyโ and โyouโll have to come back tomorrow, you need to leave.โ I eventually just gave up and said okay and walked out. Afterwards my friends told me that they followed me in and was quickly PUSHED out (by another lady) of the gift shop continuously getting told to leave. My friend proceeded to say โcan you say pleaseโ and the lady said โI donโt have to say please.โ I understand if they arenโt able to give it to me then and if the park was literally closed, but I still had 15 minutes and there were MANY people still in the park. I have never in my life been treated this way at the falls, in fact I come every year to see the lights. It really makes me upset that I was treated this way when all I asked was for a refund. Please fix this situation with these 2 very RUDE women. Have a happy...
ย ย ย Read moreI grew up around this park and initially the pioneer village a n d botanical gardens we're the main features. Now after several years of decline this park is once again a local place to be truly proud of. The campgrounds and trails have vastly improved the nature of this park. Being local we visit the park no less than once per month. Recommend to all.i have posted two photos of the waterfall at night, made with my Pixel and nite sight which brings out a look of the falls I have not seen before. Miss update and I went to the campgrounds falls this weekend my grandson and I hiked out through some of the trails and I'm pretty elaborate group of trails out there mapped out well maybe 8 to 10 different trails we were walking on a family family loop trail which is really easy but then we ended up down underneath the the falls at the end of Black Creek where I don't think I've ever been before it's nice down there water was beautiful and found some unusual root structures I guess my posted a couple of pictures thought you might like and went ahead and bumped the falls up to a five thank you bub. 09/22 Posted some photos of breakfast at the Falls great way to start the day
Update: This remains one of my favorite places to commune with nature. I am going to add a few older photos of the waterfalls taken with night sight mode that I really enjoy. I...
ย ย ย Read moreThere was lots of nearby parking. Many people were leaving as others were arriving. I am an adult that attended the event with another adult. We as many others there, did not bring children there. Of course, there were 100s of kids there. We arrived close to 6:00 p.m., on a Tuesday, during a school week. Rode the Christmas train. The park is decorated in 1000s of festive lights. Monday-Thursday the price is 8.00, online tickets for people over the age of three. It is 10.00 per person Friday through Sunday. There were two new electric trains with fake locomotive sounds. The Christmas music failed to play continuously. There was little interaction between the conductor and passengers. The ride was for nearly 5 minutes long. at least a hundred people could fit on the train. One train loaded. Then another train unloaded. Vice versa. It went pass vendors, gift shops, A REAL SANTA CLAUS, petting zoo, cabins, exhibits, monuments, bridges, walking paths, Nocolula Falls and more before returning to the depot. Patrons were suppose to exit the platform via the park's gift shop which was avoidable yet loaded with ready to be bought Christmas gifts and goodies. Brief, nice experience. I did NOT hear one excited kid. There were several hundreds of people there. Perhaps about two hundred and fifty plus or minus. Traffic was good. Go! Attend! I...
