Antler Motel — Hotel in Gainesville

We have stayed in this motel MANY times in the last 2-3 years. Never had any problems with owners and anything we needed was rectified IF needed. Every room we have been in has been clean, neat and tidy, also mid day change out for towels, toiletries and bed making. Beds will give you a decent nights sleep. Air condition/heater have always worked perfectly..... has been a coffee pot AND small fridge in every room we have stayed in. TVs vary from room to room it seems, always worked, could be bigger but not griping. Motel sets right next to the highway but we have barely every heard "annoying" traffic sounds...occasional big rig rolling by maybe, definitely did not disturb out sleep. ||||There is a bar/grill attached which is NOT owned by the motel owners, but definite bonus. Food is reasonably priced and has always been very good. Wide variety of food and drinks, desserts (including ice cream) to pick from with specials depending on the night. Live entertainment on certain nights if you are interested. ||We have stayed one room away from the end of the motel nearest the restaurant and could BARELY on rare occasion ever hear any noise from the bar.||||I would highly recommend this motel to anyone who was passing through or in the area for a few days. Very reasonable prices and rooms...

Owner was rude anytime we came in contact with him. He came banging on the door while I was in the bath even though I had a "do not disturb" sign on the door. We had asked several times for more coffee, extra toilet paper & towels & never received anything we asked for. Half of the lights in the room did not work. It is right by highway 5 & the traffic is very loud. Walls are very thin, lots of loud noises it's hard to sleep peacefully. The beds are extremely hard & small. TV is terrible, small & fuzzy. They would not work with you on prices even though we did not stay a full night our first night they still charged a full nights price. They did not consider any discounts, period... Even after staying for one week! Customer service is terrible, definitely in the business for themselves rather than making customers comfortable & happy. Ordered pizza & salads & they said they would be ready in 20 minutes & it was not ready in time, ended up waiting around 40 minutes for us to receive our food. There is no refrigerator in the room or microwave. No hair dryer. Very minimal on their necessities! Very poor service!!! Would...

My husband ordered 2 burgers one was a double the other was a single. The burgers were very dry and they were chard black. The fries were greasy and under cooked. I have never gotten bad food from here until that day. I was told I would get a gift certificate for the amount we paid. Gave them my address and never received anything yet. This makes me feel cheated and we loved there food. They have the best pizza around. The staff is very nice. But I would like to have the gift certificate. So I will be calling to see if I get it.
