3 stars vs 2 only because of Emily & Adi front desk attendants who were so apologetic & quick to resolve our issues.
Good breakfast selection & comfortable large room. Our mirror light didn't work but I used the mirror in the hallway. I didn't ask for maintenance because my family did in their room for the same issue & no one came in the 5 nights they stayed. Bed was comfy & tv worked fine. Fridge, sink, & shower we're in good working order.
The issue was with housekeeping & communication with the front desk.
We are here for 4 nights & were told by the front desk upon check-in they would refresh our room after 3 days. On Day 4, I called the front to ask them to refresh the room as they didn't on day 3 (after 2 nights) & we had a toddler with us so trash was full & no spare liners. The front desk said we would get fresh towels & our trash taken out. I was told when I checked out that the person I spoke with for this was training & probably forgot. Returning at 8pm, our room was still untouched. Our keys had deactivated as well along with our family's room we were with at the hotel. The front desk advised they do this after 3 days unless they make them longer at check-in. With the buss of kids coming in when we did, it probably got made ahead of time to save us time. Not a major inconvenience but just annoying.
I went to the front desk for new keys then had to return for trash liners after we saw our trash wasn't taken out. I asked the desk attendee why our room had not been touched as we called & their own policy says we would get service. We never put the DND tag up. He was kind but just said "They told me nothing. I don't know." I plan to call a manager. I felt bad but had to put our room trash in the recycle receptacle by the elevator as there was no trash receptacle by the stairs or elevator. Luckily I had asked for extra towels & shampoo & conditioner when we checked in so we didn't suffer. I could only imagine if we hadn't done that, we'd be having to go to the desk every night for something due to no housekeeping. My family's other room was refreshed twice but just the trash was taken out. No fresh towels or even a making of the bed (which is typically seen & a clear indication of housekeeping being in the room).
Emily was at the front when I checked out & was so understanding & apologetic to our experience. She really allowed us to leave feeling heard & like we might give them a try again.
I wouldn't stay here again if I can find another hotel in the area that has the door in the suite & a bathtub/shower combo vs shower only, as that's the reason we chose this room, so our toddler could go to bed before us & not...
Read moreCustomer Service: ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. No greeting, no communication, etc. There was a younger white guy and younger Indian girl working the front. The guy was hacking up spit with his hand covering his mouth as if to catch 'it' then touching on everything including guest cards without even using hand sanitizer. They called a guy to see if our room #308 was ready, mind you it was around 8PM. When we walked in, the smell of sewage, poop and air freshener was burning our noses and we couldn't take it. We went down to ask for a different room, she said the only one they had was 418 and made new keys. On the desk WHERE GUESTS WALK UP TO THE COUNTER, STILL LIED OUR PAPER AND ANOTHER GUESTS PAPER WITH ALL OUR INFO ON THEM FOR ANYONE TO SEE. When my sister asked her to please pick it up, twice, she SNATCHED it and wadded it up with an even worse attitude than she already had. The elevators: SO SCARY! Sounds like the cables are about to snap! The Room: There was a huge crack in the window, the AC sounded like it had pebbles inside bouncing around and the room was warm the whole time, the sheet was dirty and had hair on them, it looked to be vomit on the baseboard, the shower bar was busted and glued on, the shower head was so gross that I refused to shower. Just waited till I got home. The fixtures were dirty and dusty. The Lobby: When walking in, there are 3 papers taped to the door telling guests that the door opens SLOWLY and indeed it did. It needs to be fixed. You could hear it DRAGGING. The smell was hard to take. It was a mix of stale water and mold. The pool is right there so you'd think you would smell chlorine but not at all. They had CNN on the TV so I couldn't even sit in there for breakfast. The water was dirty to make oatmeal with so I didn't. I was never greeted in any way by any employee. Directions: In trying to get there, construction made it super confusing to get in the parking lot. I know that's out of their control but I called and they put me on hold to never return. Had to just figure it out after driving all around. I usually always stay at La Quinta's but this is one that I will NOT revisit. From customer service to cleanliness to the operation of the doors/elevators, this hotel needs to be closed down, cleaned & maintenanced VERY BADLY. AND hire some new people with better customer...
Read moreA NIGHTMARE..... Can't recommend. So the staff was friendly, until we left, room was okay. The parking it's horrible, not enough space to accommodate any type of motor vehicle. The only good thing is great about this hotel is the location (I-I35, close to winstar world casino) and they accept pets for those with furry babies, other than that it failed in every aspect. Now to the horrible nightmare we went through. On 2.24.2020 we arrived and everything was great. The next day everything starting to decline. The door would not work I had to reset our keys 4 times, we decided to go on with our day...then that night we arrive at the hotel to go to sleep, the door would not open again. Waited at the lobby for hours for them to open or door. "They promised to comp the room for the inconvenience" and we didn't use the room until after 3am with a checkout at 11am because at 1101, they knock at the door telling us to get out (even tho, they also said checkout will be at 12 for the inconvenience, but that never happen). So we get the checking out. They didn't acknowledge the comp until I said something to Connie (receptionist). Because I booked with a 3rd party they instructed me to call them, so I did. After going back and fwd. It turn to the worst, they only told priceline to refund me 15% of first day only (not even of the whole stays) Which is not was we were told the night before. So besides our lack of sleep bc we had to still checkout at 11am to go on a long trip, been locked out of our room until after 3am because of lack of maintenance and been lied to from the staff and management to not get refunded properly, then have an attitude with me when I walked inside again to ask why the 15% and not the comp like we were told. It's not worth the hassle, my time or the stay. They got paid that's all they cared. Even tho I was considering giving them a second chance, I will not stay in this hotel again. I cannot recommend this place. I prefer pay anyone else anything else. Than to give them another chance. Don't recommend unless you want the risk of haven't a bad experience and not compensated for it. Sadly they will not get my business nor my...
