The only pleasant part of this stay was the pleasantness of the staff. We booked this stay almost two weeks in advance. It happened to be one of the few remaining hotels with rooms big enough to accommodate a family of five for the holiday weekend. We arrived around 9:30pm local time for check in. When we opened the door to this suite, we were immediately greeted with an odor less pleasant than a men's locker room adjacent an indoor pool facility. Knowing we had no other choice, we figured leaving the door open a bit would air it out. It didn't work. We had to give the room a good try and endure the odor. When preparing the sleeper sofa for one of the kids, the hide-a-bed linens had not been changed and were covered in hair and food crumbs. The desk staff gave me fresh linens and stated "I thought about changing those for you...". They apologized and even brought fresh pillows for the sofa bed. We made it through the night and departed for the day's activities after having an adequate breakfast in the small lobby. Upon return that evening, my wife couldn't take the odor any longer. She went to the front desk to complain and was offered a can of deodorizer, which the chemical odor lasted all of three minutes before the stench returned. Showers were cold to lukewarm that evening. The faucet in one of the showers had no stop at "hot" but simply rotated on around... so you had to find the sweet spot between warm and cold. The other shower never did get warm. We also discovered the toilets in both bathrooms were leaking and loosely mounted. One had a pool of water to the doorway by morning. I call it a doorway as there was no physical bathroom door on the "double queen" beds side of the suite. The next night was a repeat and only bearable after numerous efforts with the can of "deodorizer" and some spritzes of cologne in the AC vents. Upon checkout, I again reiterated the problems with this "suite" while handing back the borrowed can of deodorizer, only to be told she "wished we had brought this to her attention earlier as they would have moved us to another room". For which I politely explained "this was the only room you had for us when we checked in". Her reply... "well yes..."

This hotel needs work and a LOT of it. We won't be staying here again. The 3+ star rating it has been given is VERY lenient and in no...

DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!

Worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. We reserved our room online and paid online. Got there and the guy said we had not paid and made us pay again. Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights.

Got to the first room, curtains were broken, holes in walls, bugs crawling up walls, cobwebs and dirt caked everywhere, outlets wouldn’t work, white stains and cigarette burns on our blankets. We told the front and we were given a new room. New room was much better condition, we moved our stuff into that room and stayed there night 1. There were still holes and patched areas, and some outlets still didn’t work, but it’s was a bit cleaner. We then left all of our stuff and went out for the day. We came back at 10pm and just wanted to shower and relax. Our key quit working. So we go to get it fixed and come to find out somebody went into the room and picked up all of our stuff and took it to the front desk without notifying us at all about it. Then they re-rented out the room while we were gone. They also left a bunch of stuff which got thrown away including food for my 5 month old baby. By 11pm we had no where to sleep even though we had paid for 2 nights. So then they put us in another room, which was also really gross and still had a bar of soap from previous guests sitting in the tub.

The second room we had booked had no hot water, dirt caked everywhere, the handle to turn on the shower fell off when you’d try to turn it on and half the lights didn’t work.

We go to check out and they are still trying to track down all of our stuff they threw away/lost. Which included deodorant, a weekends worth of breastmilk in bags, breastmilk bags, pumping bottles and probably more that we haven’t noticed yet. Were held up at the front desk trying to get our stuff back and they can’t find it. We got a full refund and told them we want compensation for the stuff they touched and lost without our permission. The lady at the front desk was a different person than the ones we had dealt with previously and she was very nice and trying to help best she could.

Overall, this was a terrible experience and this hotel is disgusting and rude. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. I’d give it 0...

My fiancé and I were travelling from central Ohio to southwest Louisiana a few weeks ago, coming back from visiting my family. We reserved a room at about 10PM, and we were tired by the time we arrived at about 2AM. We were assigned room 237, however, the security latch was active and the door was cracked as if someone were already in it. We got transferred to room 136, and by the time we noticed how horrid the room was, it was 2:30AM, and we just wanted to shower and sleep. There was black mold on the ceilings, black mold on the walls, the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work, and the bedding was weirdly damp and uncomfortable to sleep in. After showering we noticed dead bugs in the corners of the rooms, the carpet was so dirty it turned our just cleaned feet black, multiple wall and lamps/lamp outlets in the room did not work, the sheets were badly stained, the headboard had very visible handprints all over them (ew?? please for the love of god clean them when they're that bad), and to top it all off the security latch was straight up MISSING. We woke up with sore throats from how bad the mold was in the entire room. When we checked out at 10am we asked if we could get some sort of discount since we paid almost $100 for our room and it was in such poor condition - only for the receptionist to tell us if we stayed in the room the whole night, we likely won't get one, but she will let the manager know and they would call us. We did not get a call, and we got charged the whole amount for the room. She had also told us that the room we had had just been painted with "mold paint" - it most absolutely was not, unless it was paint containing mold spores! We stayed here a year and a half prior on my move down to Louisiana just to be able to take a nap, and it was much nicer than it was this time. It's certainly gone downhill, and we will not be stopping here again on our next trip.

Rooms are nice for the price. Do need a deep clean but again for the price 🤷🏻‍♀️ Nice front desk reps. Rooms do not stink but heater does!!

I originally was only going to dock one star due to the pool being closed but nothing stating so. But after what they did, I would give 0 stars if I could. Horrible customer service. The rooms assignments were messed up when we checked in (traveling with family one set staying 2 nights and one staying 3 nights) and they gave the keys for 2 nights room to the person staying 3 nights and vice versa. Even though you have to show ids to get checked in and the rooms were reserved under different names. When it was discovered they couldn't tell us when the manager would start work so that they would  be able to fix it and the employee there was unable to assist us. The manager fixed the issue but didn't call us so we had to drive back to find that out. No real apology was given. Just a "you're good" and "it has been taken care of."  An apology would have gone a long way to making us feel like we mattered, especially since time was taken away from family to go back to the hotel to make sure things were fixed. Instead I was made to feel like I didn't matter. When we come back to the area, we will not be staying here again
