Haven Inn — Hotel in Glen Dale

All rooms have been completely redecorated. Non-smoking rooms are offered. All paint, fixtures, internal doors, bathroom, carpet, etc. are new. The shower is big and room. The rooms are small but I had a clean non-smoking unit for only $45 per night. My room contained 13 accessible AC outlets. The TVs are new (not flat screen) and have front side video input. A generous comcast channel package is available. Also included are new fully programmable air conditioners/heat pumps, in-room coffee and free wireless internet. The more expensive rooms have microwaves, double or larger beds and refrigerators. Even so the prices never go very high. Ice and laundry are available.||Cons: the entry door is flimsy. Was expecting a rough room due to the local construction work. Didn't expect filthy linen and a cobbled together bathroom! If there had been anything else I wouldn't have stayed! We only needed a room for 1 night. I took my own sheets just in case and it was a good thing. Yes the office and entrance have been remodeled and if gossip is correct so has one room due to a fire but not the one I got! Carpet was horrible, tv stand broken, matress must have been original to the motel, vinyl floor in bathroom? tacked down- in places, shower only, no tub, The room was cheap enough, bathroom clean, staff friendly! Clean sheets, washclothes without holes and a decent matress aren't too much of an expense to be put back in considering all unitsis are rented...

The Haven Inn can't be beat! My daughter and I drove 6 hours into town for a wrestling tournament the following day. Service was 100%, the host recommended a delicious Italian restaurant only minutes away to carb up for the following day, the room was clean and comfortable, and the overnight stay was peaceful. We woke up to an inch of snow on the car. The host saw we were getting ready to head out for the tournament and HE CLEANED THE SNOW FROM MY WINDOWS FOR ME while we were packing up the car!
