Check-in was great, we arrived late in the evening and the Gentleman at the front desk was quick and helpful. Upon taking our bags to our car through the Lobby in the morning the front desk person Casey saw us walk out and we both smiled at her but didn't speak with her. When we came to get breakfast Casey asked us if we were staying at the Hotel. I confirmed that I was, but did notice no one else was asked about if they were staying at the Hotel. I watched the entire time, but not one person was asked anything. The experience left us feeling targeted since we are minorities.
When we finished breakfast I showed Casey the keycards and room number sleeve and wanted to check out with the paper confirming we owned nothing. She said since we booked online she could not print out a receipt and we already had that. I have done the same process in all my stays and have NEVER been told this. Especially since we spoke about it the night before, when the man at the front desk said they had my card for incidentals and damage and theft from the room. We even joked about it since they have your ID and card number how stupid that is to take things from the room. So I dont think what she said is accurate, since I do the same thing at all the hotels we stay at from Ohio to Utah and back for 10 days of travel.
When I mentioned the door to the Men's does not lock, she quickly said, 'Yes it does you need to push in the center of the knob.' I told her, Yes I did that and it does not work. She insisted on showing me how a lock works and walked us back and wanted me to come in with her to the Men's room. I just said I would wait right here, and she can lock the door. We did this 3 times, and each time I was able to open the door. Finally, she said I don't know what is wrong with it but you can use the Women's room right here.
That was not my concern or need, I just wanted it corrected since a young man had accidentally walked in on me while I was using the restroom.
It was a horrible experience the worst I have ever had. I asked her for a card and she said she did not have them since they were in transition. But the plaque on the wall said the Manager on Duty was Andrew Philbrick. She did not offer to get him, so I asked my wife to get Casey's name so I could bring up the experience. (I don't know how she spells her name.)
We had just stayed at a Comfort Inn in Moab Utah and it was the absolute best experience I have EVER had in any hotel due to the staff, the cleanliness of the Hotel and Front Desk manager Deanndra Teller, and General Manager Melinda Calderon. They are the people who need to train your staff in Goodland, KS on what they should be doing and how they should treat...
Read moreWe have stayed at this hotel for over 10 years as we visit family often and have had no issues, up until our trip over the past weekend. We booked two rooms next to each other. Our first room appeared to be clean, until I went to go take a shower. There were AT LEAST 7-10 different hairs in the shower, on top of USED mini bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash just sitting in the shower. They tried to fold a towel all nice and leave new minis of soaps without discarding the used ones from the previous stay, as if we weren’t going to notice. I was so livid, I went to the front desk to complain where all I got for a response was “okay thanks for telling us.” Our second room shower was only slightly different. There was a bar of soap with hairs stuck on it just sitting in the shower and again multiple hairs found in the shower. These showers had not even been rinsed out, or the trash being disposed of properly. I went to complain yet again, where I got a slightly different response. These employees offered “their sincerest apologies” as she said they hired new staff that doesn’t speak English very well, and “thank you for letting us know.” The manager was not present all weekend, Friday- Sunday and when i mentioned to the front desk about taking some off our room because we PAID for a clean room and this is disgustingly unacceptable, they responded with “well she will be here Monday.” Lol convenient when we’re visiting for just the weekend. So we were given her email and phone number.
I would also like to add, we had MULTIPLE instances of the employees deactivating our room cards out of no where. Came in the room, changed, left to get dinner, got back and the card randomly stopped working. We had to go to the front desk at least 6 times during a 2 night stay and to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. Like I said, we’ve stayed here for years and no issues. But this last stay, is enough to make it OUR LAST STAY at this hotel. Better off just paying $20 more at the holiday inn next door if it means their showers are clean and you have access to the room you paid for as often...

We stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites Goodland KS on February 20, 2025. When we went down to breakfast, they were serving the usual Comfort Inn food. The scrambled eggs were room temperature and there initially were no sausage links. When the sausage links were brought out, most of them were cold and about half of them were still frozen in the center. There were 2 large caffeinated coffee servers which were both out of coffee. The woman maintaining the food took one back into the kitchen and, at least for the next 25 minutes, there was no caffeinated coffee available. This was in the middle of the breakfast time slot. When we left breakfast, we went to the front desk to let them know there was a problem. The woman at the desk became annoyed and said that they only had a small coffee pot and it took time to brew it. We pointed out that it had been over 20 min and she just repeated the same. Apparently, customer service is not a priority at...
