We were NOT greeted when we entered. We stopped by after a local college graduation to grav a bite before getting back on the road. The place was not busy. My mother and I saw a table and decided to sit there after no one greeted us. After sitting there for a couple of minutes, no one ever came to us to tell us anything. So my Mom asked me to ask for two menus. I asked a guy and he gave them to me.
That's when a server, who was near our table, but didn't have two words to say to us, interjected by telling us that where we're sitting is not a place to eat. My mother was confused and said, "Oh?" Another server said, "Yea, you won't get no service sitting over there."
So my mom and I looked at each other and I asked, "Well, where do we sit, because no one told us anything." Now they went back to being quiet. I looked at my mother and asked her if she wanted to find someplace else to eat, she said yes and we left. As we were walking out, one of the services said, "I don't care." We didn't say anything to them. We just got up and left because we felt unwanted.
My mother and I LOVE the Waffle House chain, but the attitudes at this one was the first we've ever experienced. Just some rude...
Read moreI stopped by here to get a cup of coffee to go. There was a gentleman before me to pay his bill. He walked away after the transaction was completed. Instead of the lady who took his payment asking me if she could help me, she walked away and started stacking dishes three feet away from the register. I stood there for three minutes, which seemed like a long time, waiting for someone to take my order. I noticed workers glanced at me but would not say anything to me. So I left. I was embarrassed and hurt. I'm not sure why they responded to me this way. I think it was because I was the only white person in the restaurant. Maybe not. I don't know for sure. Waffle House is our favorite breakfast place, and I like their coffee. I have never been treated this way at any other Waffle House restaurant. I hope the owner or manager sees this and responds. Note that three people were standing around, not doing anything. Very few customers were in the restaurant. I counted five tables that were occupied. All were eating. So they were not busy. There was no other reason I wasn't served. My wife and I sat in the parking lot and said a prayer for them. I hope others have a better...
Read moreVery Disappointed! It's been a few months since I ate at a Waffle House, but many years ago I used to be a Sunday regular. I know inflation is playing a number on everything, but come on!!! I ordered two waffles and they almost looked like two crepes! They were so thin and soft.....nothing to do with the image I held so dear in my heart of those thick, firm Belgium waffles of years back! They also cost three times more! My sister and nephew ordered the meals and they got served what looks like a spoonful of hash browns, flat and pale, so lifeless! I remember a rather messy bunch that almost filled up the plate back in the days. I guess the only thing they couldn't shrink were the eggs because fortunately they have a standard size more or less. They don't serve freshly squeezed orange juice either!!!! They are advertising Minute Made as an amazing upgrade....Wow! And last but not least, toasts were burned.....and I don't understand why it took them so long to take our order with only two tables in the dining area, food came before the utensils, and the waitress forgot...
