Pismo Beach Resort — Hotel in Grover Beach

After a 4 hour drive to attend their presentation, the gal said I needed my partner to be present. I told her she's in the car with my 2 pit bull mastiffs and is working on her laptop. I asked if the presentation would be outside, (thinking they'd show me the property) so that my dogs could walk around. She said no, but they could go inside with us and that she had a dog too. I told her my dogs aren't to friendly to other dogs in new places. I told her that the guy who scheduled and the gal who confirmed said nothing about bringing a spouse or partner. She just replied, "Well, you should've read the fine print in the email." I was so frustrated at this point I walked to my car and gathered myself, looked for a local hotel to stay the night so that our trip wasn't wasted. She didn't want to budge at all, and the property is so close to the entrance of the dunes, it's constantly busy and sand is constantly blowing in...

This Resort is MEMBERS ONLY! Staff were friendly and explained what this meant, and the entire process of becoming a member to me in depth. I can understand why for some people who do not travel very often, the CRA membership can seem like its not worth the price. If you do travel often its an AMAZING DEAL! Most locations have free to low cost RV hookups for members. This particular location is a small beach resort with facilities. Comes with Cabins, trailers, studios and even mini lofts for rent. Outside bathrooms, showers, and hot tub for when your done in the Ocean. Most units have a full kitchen and/or outdoor Bar-B-Q. Pricing is Members-only and not advertised for a reason. If you are a recreational vehicle owner, or just somebody who travels a lot, consider stopping in to any CRA location and asking for a tour. P. S. Pismo Beach gets cleaned year round and is the only "Drive-On" Beach...

Went for a ‘low pressure’ tour of their facility and services, barely got out of there with my wallet. I should have known better but they initially kept reassuring me that it’s not a big deal if I didn’t want to buy today. Needless to say this is a VERY HIGH PRESSURE SALES ENVIRONMENT. I told them to keep the “free” gifts.

Sad because I would have bought into the program if they we at least respectful….but they are definitely not!!
