After paying $350 for a night, I expected a clean room and friendly service at the very least. This place has gone downhill. My room was dirty and hot, with stained curtains and not enough towels for me and my 2 kids. The pool supervisor Stephanie is a racist. She loudly made fun of another family, calling them "The Taliban"..The other staff member (young girl with curly brown hair) was mortified and tried to get her to stop... but Stephanie went on and on. She even told us he would probably bomb us, all bc the man appeared to be of middle eastern descent. I couldn't tell if she was high or just ignorant, but she followed us from table to table picking up plates while we were still eating. I politely told her that we would throw away our own trash when we were finished eating, as a nice way of asking her to stop, but that didnt work as she grabbed the plates from our table anyway. She tried to throw our pizza box with half a pizza away also, i had to pull it from her hands along with the kids frozen pina coladas. It took us over 30 minutes to get our order, and this lady was throwing our stuff away. It was so very uncomfortable, and very uninviting. The park doesn't close until 9pm, but at 6pm she came and closed our umbrella, while we were sitting there and started pushing chairs in at our table. To make matters worse, our umbrella didnt have a strap, so when she closed it, it couldn't completely close. We literally couldn't see across the table and had to move to be able to see each other and the kids in the splash pad. While I can see perhaps doing that to the empty tables, I certainly would not do that to the occupied tables. I felt like she was trying to force people out of the park early so she could close. She was so rude to the rest of the staff, loudly berating them in front of all of the park, and then turning to us and telling us how they do nothing. I felt so bad for the younger staff after witnessing the way she treated them. This woman made me feel so uncomfortable, it was excessive. ||The girl in the sweet shop was equally as rude, refusing to stand up from her stool behind the front counter to see if there was more bottled water available. You would think at these prices, the very least you would get is a semi helpful staff. The kids shared a bottle of water bc that was literally the only one and she refused to look for more.||At one point, a gentleman fell down the steps of the large waterside, and appeared to be hurt pretty bad. Rather than closing the slide for cleanup, they left a pool of blood on the ground and told everyone to just go around it... JUST GO AROUND THE BLOOD! The negligence... God forbid a child with a cut were to walk through the pool of blood that say there for an hour. Not one employee thought to clean it up or barricade that area closed... nope, "Just walk around". My 7yr old son had more sense than the staff, and didnt even fuss when I made him leave that area.|| In previous summers, we spent many nights at The Oasis..|| But I will NOT be back. I was shocked at this lack of service and even though I have called and emailed, I cannot get anyone to call me back. I was overcharged, my rate was changed, and I cannot get a final folio days later. I am starting to wonder if they are under new management, bc this was not the experience we had in the past. Three people (myself and my 2 sons) and I spent $350 on a room, $150 in food and snacks, for a one night getaway before school started... and it was a DISASTER! I tried to share my concerns with the management directly, rather than here on the review, but I CANNOT get anyone to call me back. I can barely get them to answer the phone. Without giving you a second to speak, they answer the phone with "Please hold" and never return to the line. I held for 15 minutes before I hung up... and when I called back they don't pick up at all. The phone line eventually rolls over to central reservations, which is not able to do anything but make a new reservation. Getting someone at the property has proven to be impossible. I'd still LOVE an email or call from the management to elaborate on this awful experience that took place on...

Read moreThis was our second trip to Centennial Plaza and I REALLY wanted to like it. Our first trip was the middle of July, just a couple's weekend. Then we went as a family with 2 teens the first full week of August. ||The Good: the lazy river. Honestly, that was the whole reason we booked this place to begin with. We all loved just hanging out at the lazy river on our Orlando vacation a couple years ago and wanted a repeat. Like most lazy rivers, when you get a bunch of kids in it, it becomes a little hectic, but we know that going in and don't let it bother us. The bartenders at the swim-up bar were nice, though the options are pricy.||The BAD: Check-in is AWFUL. If you choose to stay here, don't check in on a Sunday. At least, I suppose checking in on other days would be more efficient with less volume. Check-in is later that most places, 4 pm. BUT! We didn't get room keys until after 5 pm. For both of our stays, we did a pre-check-in check-in where we filled out our papers and presented payment about 3:45. We were then told our room wasn't ready and to wait for a phone call. On our first trip we got the call about 4:20, but then had to stand in line again to get keys. On our second trip, we NEVER got the call. By 4:30, we got back in line to wait; the hostess said she hadn't had time to make the calls. Bless her, she was the ONLY WORKER. That there was only one person at check-in for a resort with multiple buildings was ridiculous. We were hot, tired, sweaty, and pretty upset by the time we were able to get into our room.||The Mid: everything else. We were in the CP Hotel, not the family Oasis building. The 2-bed standard room was just "fine." Nothing special about it. Beds are ok. Towels are ok. There were stains on the carpet, both chairs, and ottoman. TV was crooked on the wall and wobbled if you touched it. To make both beds fit, one of them was pushed straight up against the wall. There is no microwave, which is fine when it was just the 2 of us, but with our family, that's now our new deal-breaker. Tiny fridge has no freezer compartment. Tiny one-cup coffee maker. There were only 2 hangers. The food at Hippie Fish was pretty good (their onion rings are great!), but my husband felt like the breakfast at Oasis tasted like it came out of a box. The QR codes on the pamphlet they give you at check-in don't work, so we went downstairs to the hotel bar (which does breakfast also) to find out about the menu and had a nice chat with the folks at the bar, but then the next morning there was no one working and we were told that the bar was closed. No breakfast that day-no signs-no heads-up. We wound up ordering pick up from the near-by Waffle House.||All in all, for us, a family of 4 with 2 teens, we will not be back. For the price we paid, we can get something similar or larger space-wise, with a microwave and maybe even a hot...
