*(Updated below) This is an awesome Coastal Southern Resort! Although newer, it has the charm and ambiance of a resort like the Grand Hotel at Point Clear, Alabama. Live Oak trees are abundant throughout the resort. My hotel room in the Centennial Grand Hotel is excellent! My room is overlooking the Plaza fountain, that has a musical light show each night. One of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed! This morning I watched a cargo ship heading for the Port of Gulfport. I highly recommend spending some time here!

*(12/31/24) UPDATE My room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. I had a lovely view of the plaza and fountain. The AC was easy to operate, and it kept my room at just the right temperature. The hotel is stately and the lobby is well appointed with nice furniture. There is a wine bar, and there are dining times scheduled each day. Some of my favorite restaurants are also close by. Check in was quick with friendly informative staff. The grounds with all of the lovely buildings and oak trees is awesome! I was there for a personal getaway. However, there are numerous family recreational amenities, with more being added. I also stayed at the Grand Centennial Hotel last year. The only negative observation that I have is that the carpet in my room had some stains and some floor tiles were worn and need attention. My carpet was clean, just stained. I will definitely stay...

This place has so much potential but is just not there yet. The room we got on check in had mold on the ceiling and the bedding was wet from the humidity because it was 78 degrees in there and the AC was broken. They moved us to a new room that smelled like carpet glue and the toilet doesn't flush. We were the only people in the wine bar and ordered hummus, she brought us chopped avocado with feta on it. Oops she says. Went to the grill for breakfast and the cook walks out in the middle of service so the whole place had to get up and go to waffle house. Walked the half mile to the pool, got to the bar and was told that the room charge system had been down for 3 days and they are only taking credit cards. No signs posted to let us know that before we got down there. The icing on the cake...went to the wine bar at 8pm for a drink and an entire little girls soccer team was in there with their parents and the one bartender couldn't wait on us because she was busy making 20 Shirley temples for a bunch of kids with their very loud parents partying at the bar. Kids shouldn't be in a bar. Won't be...

This was my second stay at this hotel. My room had carpet stains as did my first one. My thermostat was not working properly but I just turned it off due to it staying so cold. I did not feel like calling the front desk. The soap and shampoo items in the shower seemed very cheap!!! The shower gave me life after my workout but the water was very hot!!!!!!!!!! The gym was a huge disappointment. The one bike that was supposed to work did not!!! Two pieces of equipment (out of 6) were completely broke!! Two treadmills ✔️ Two bikes - One ab machine and one broken down elliptical! There was no water in the cooler!!!! No wipes for the equipment! Nice rooms and a great concept.

The grand centennial hotel is the best hotel on the coast. Last year I stayed there for about 15 days during Thanksgiving and Christmas season will do the same this year and afford to space at the house. It’s a wonderful setting the buildings for constructed in 1923. They’re on the national historic building site. The rooms are well appointed and across the street from the sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. The hotel also offers a water park of course when it’s warm out. If you’re visiting the coast, no place else you’d want to stay in the ground centennial hotel
