I can't speak more highly of this sweet little gem of a b&b in Pescadero town. I stayed here for three days and two nights on a recent winter weekend writing retreat, away from my busy routine as a mom and business owner. The owners, Lisa and Mauro, are incredibly warm, welcoming, and easygoing; I felt like I was going to the home of good, longtime friends who gave me complete privacy to pursue my artistic goals for the weekend. I had just what I needed: a cheerful, room full of sunlight during the day and drawn curtains and quiet during the night, coffee for brewing and pretty crockery for drinking it, wine glasses for a relaxing bit of vino, an inviting bed, a perfectly sized little desk for my laptop, the room decorated in varying shades of white with items either from the owners' families or from vintage shops (not cloyingly so, just lovingly so), and a clean bathroom right outside my door that I shared only with the couple staying in the b&b's one other bedroom.||||All in all, this place - and its magical and bucolic setting slightly removed from the quiet main street of Pescadero - exudes a sense of peace and warmth highly conducive to a period of restorative calm or restorative creative work. I highly...
Read moreThe only person who rivals Lisa's attention to detail is my mother and that is not easy to match!!! Every corner is thoughtfully and neatly decorated not to mention impeccably clean. The sheets smell nice and are ironed, an array of magazines and books are at your disposal; a box of kleenex tissues on each side of the bed; pillows of many sizes; organic lavender shampoo, conditioner and body wash; thick new towels and much more. Having breakfast in bed with my husband was priceless. The biscuits were amazing, the apples the best I have tasted in a long time. Both room and bathroom were spacious and with individual heating. Outside the room there was a microwave and a small fridge.||||We stayed here for the night as we came for a wedding in Pescadero, but wished we would've stayed longer as we were starting our honeymoon and this place went far beyond our expectations. We didn't even miss not having a TV- perfect for spending quality time with a loved one and enjoying the simple things in life. ||||ps. Do have a cup of tea or a fresh drink on the porch overlooking the beautiful garden with wildflowers!||||Thank you...
Read moreMy family recently visited the Pescadero's McCormick House "Bed & Biscuit" Inn, and it was absolutely charming.||||The inn-keepers (Lisa and Mauro) were very warm, welcoming, and kind. The facility was very clean, very well-kept, very quiet, and very relaxing. Every little detail was handled, like an extension cord under the dresser so it was easy to plug in items for charging and Kleenex everywhere so you don't need to hunt for it if needed.||||Everything served there is organic. My wife doesn't care for half and half in her coffee (she prefers regular milk), so Lisa went out and picked up organic milk for her as well. That was an unexpected surprise (we like organic, but rarely buy organic milk due to cost).||||I was uncertain how my children (12 year old boys) would take to a B&B, since they had never been exposed to that before. They loved it too!||||The facility can be very romantic for a couple, or a great place to stay for families as well. I can't recommend this place more - it really is very...
