Americas Best Value Inn Hamilton — Hotel in Hamilton

We've been traveling for 9 days and this is the worst hotel so far. Front desk clerk was SO friendly, and accommodating. Lobby looked promising, and it was 10 pm when we arrived so we were ready to crash. First room we got, the TV didn't work and the screaming kids next door where convinced our joining room door was a closet and kept banging the door over and over to get in (not the hotels fault) but we did ask to change rooms. No problem, they moved us to another room. It was dirty, literally dirt on the wall and hair in the shower. All the towels and bedding were stained. The porcelain topper on the toilet was completely broken into two pieces. The cherry on top though, is when we opened up the microwave there was an old easy Mac cup inside from who knows when. The area where the ice machine is at 😬😬 There was something going on in town too, so they hiked the price up to $117. My husband and I spent our date night here 2 weeks ago and again last night. My review has changed because of the way I was treated this stay. First of all I called before we checked in to ask for there rate. The male manager quoted me $77 including tax. When I arrived he was not there. This time I had to deal with the most disrespectful person (middle age woman, Brown hair and glasses) I have encountered here in Hamilton. I was overcharged $10.00 and was dealing with her nasty attitude from the moment I walked through the door. I asked when the manager would be in and this was here response "I only know when I have to be here" That's unexceptionable!!!!!! Stayed two nights this weekend and had a pretty unfortunate experience. We came in a group for an event and got joined rooms 128 and 130. One of the rooms didn’t have a working tv, the other one didn’t have a refrigerator. There were fire hazards in one room, including an extension cord. That room’s air conditioner cover was off as well. There was dirt all in the shower and all over the bathroom door. The bedding was all stained, the towels were dirty, and my 3 year old walked barefoot for less than five minutes and the bottom of her feet were black.
