The place is beautiful, great location in the center of cute Helena—on the falls but the train is noisy! (& frequent) & restaurants were limited on the times open —closed Sunday/Monday or early on Sunday when I went looking for food. I don’t think I would stay there again because of 1) the price. It’s pretty expensive, after including all the extra fees (which came to around $250 extra for 3 days) —about $378/night in the end which was deceiving upon booking. But you do get 3 rooms & 2 bathrooms! 2) we had to share all the outdoor facilities & they had parties every night! The falls were fun & the river soothing and very pretty. The patio lights were a nice touch. The master bath sink had no counter space & was small to share, my husband is 6’2” & had to step up into the tub ducking through the sliding glass door—which was small for him & the tub buckled (was flimsy) The kitchen was well stocked with high quality dishes. There were a lot of paper goods, which was great! One suggestion would have been a long mirror—and a label for the light switch for the night stand lights (it’s behind the mirror in the bedrooms) ;) —
Also, those renting next to us monopolized the back patio the whole time we were there first with a huge graduation party —as I brought my 3 little granddaughters to swim and play games—we walked out on the back deck feeling like we were intruding on Cinderellas party wearing swimming suits! They had almost 100 people & decorations on all the tables, in every corner, (I have pictures) & everyone was playing the games, etc., eating, drinking, taking pictures by the jacuzzi, & back deck there was no where to go. We were left walking to the falls below. After that, their kids friends came over for the jacuzzi and it continued every night —at the fire pit, swings & hot tub. I felt like I was invading parties, though they spoke to us, they weren’t aware or cared we may want some space too. & we paid to be there as well! The woman told me they initially wanted to rent only the patio for they’re graduation party, but weren’t able to, so they rented a suite for 3 days (the same three days we did). Fun! We were there for a graduation too. It would have been nice to be alerted of activities scheduled. Or been given a discount for something we weren’t able to enjoy. There was also a live concert music in the park by the river til 1 am which was fun to see for a bit—they were good, but we literally woke up at 1 am that morning to travel from AZ to be there with our children & grandkids we hadn’t seen & we’re soo tired! Not super restful. But… we could tell they put a lot of work into the place. I travel a lot for work & appreciated the small touches they tried to offer...
Read moreWe stayed 8 consecutive nights at Buck Creek BNB in February of 2025. Our total bill for 8 nights was $3,694. Yep, you read that right! For the price, expectations were high. The property manager, Jai, was really wonderful and set the experience off to a great start. The rooms are much more spacious than a hotel, and the full kitchen was nice for our extended stay. Firstly, this is NOT a bed and breakfast. Breakfast is not included. There is laundry in each room so you can wash your towels, but there was not a housekeeping visit to restock any other items in the room( toilet paper, paper towels). Upon arrival, we did notice a few things. The baseboards had not been cleaned anytime recently, nor any of the bathroom vents. The two chairs in the living room area both had tears at the seams on the arms. Each bedroom has really nice pendant lights, but at first they appeared to not be working. After several days I found the light switches for these lights awkwardly hidden behind mirrors in each bedroom. It was very strange and they were all unmarked. Stepping out of the room and into the gated outdoor area, there are several amenities like putt putt golf and large connect four. There were no golf balls for putt putt and connect four is missing one of the bottom brackets making it unusable. Several seat cushions were torn, and there was washed out gravel along our room’s stairway that was very obvious, yet was never addressed by any staff (the owners spent 2 hours on the patio next to this issue and didn’t rectify it). There is a large propane fire pit, but I had to go get a lighter to turn it on, as the built-in igniter did not work. The large hot tub was great when it worked, but on our last night it was turned off and not operating, which was a big disappointment (once again, $3,694!!!). It is a neat location and is very ‘boutique’, and we did enjoy our stay overall. However, for the price, I think the...
Read moreI had a wonderful stay at Buck Creek BNB. The check in process was seamless. The unit was even nicer than I expected. I stayed in a 2 BD/2 BA unit on the ground floor. The patio in the back empties directly onto the deck/overlook where there is a fire pit, plenty of chairs, swings, and the hot tub. All of the TVs in the unit are smart TVs with any streaming apps you would need. There were games as well for family/friends to play. The kitchen in my unit was fully stocked and there was complimentary coffee/creamer and a very nice Ninja coffeemaker. Breakfast is not complimentary even though this was stated on my email confirmation. I opted not to eat breakfast, so I cannot speak to the quality. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. There were plenty of pillows, linens, towels, and toiletry items you may need. There was quality hand soap/lotion and shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers. There were robes and slippers for two guests as well- this was a nice touch. I slept very comfortably in the master bedroom. My only complaint is that you can very easily hear the unit next to yours. This was frustrating in the later evening when I was trying to fall asleep. They do specify quiet hours and the other unit was fairly compliant with this. I should have reached out to the concierge staff later into the evening as they assured me they would have addressed this. Please don’t let this deter you. Overall, it was a wonderful stay! This is part of the charm, but the BNB is in close proximity to railroad tracks. You can hear trains throughout the day and night. I would recommend bringing a sound machine to help with drowning out noise from other units and the trains while sleeping if you are a...
