Goodfellas Social Club — Restaurant in Helena

Great local hangout with pool tables and staff and live music. The staff makes you feel like you are in a group of friends with some shenanigans here and there. Listening to music upstairs with the musicians playing above you is interesting, I often wonder if it hurts their backs to load up there, but it is interesting sitting at the bar looking up to hear music and sometimes have the band call down at you saying hello. The food is simple, frozen quick food, tacquitos I believe, but sometimes what you need and you can always order a steak from the next door restaurant. First time going to this bar . This was a date night for us wanting to try a new local bar . Saw it was there third anniversary and had a band tonight . Said it started at 7:00 pm it got to 9:00 pm and band still hasn’t started so we left . We had high expectations for this place after seeing there website ! As we walked in we were greeted with the faces of “who are you” “stare downs” very uncomfortable feeling . We drank two drinks and started to head out and my boyfriend got made fun by a bunch of men for carrying my purse . Absolutely ridiculous along with the price of 4 drinks that ended up being $36 for 2 beers and 2 wines . Not going back here ever and don’t ever recommend it for...

Have you ever been asked to leave an establishment before ever entering? Goodfellas social club would not allow me to enter the establishment due to my level of intoxication. I was aware of this, I didn't go to goodfellas social club to drink, I came to socialize. I wasn't allowed to socialize because I didn't want to spend money on a drink, I would have gladly paid for a free glass of water. Keep in mind I was in no way shape or form hostile toward the establishment nor its patrons. Long story short my intoxication is not a dictation of my intelligence.
