We had a wonderful family reunion at the Diamond Spur Lodge. The location has great views of hills and pine trees and the horses stop by in the late afternoons for a visit. My favorite was sitting on the back porch at least once a day soaking in the peaceful scenery. The kitchen has tons of prep space and storage capacity for a week long stay. The living room is built for a large family. The bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. This is a location to get away from the hectic work day, so do not come here expecting to sit inside streaming videos or checking emails all day long because the WiFi is not that strong nor should it be. Get outside and have fun around the Black Hills.

This was a very comfortable and convenient place too stay while we're attended a wedding next door at the Diamond Spur event center. Our hosts, Rich and Leanne, were professional and friendly. The grounds at the ranch were well kept, and the landscaping was pristine. There was a hot tub and fire pit available for our use. Mount Rushmore, crazy horse, Keystone we're a short drive. The needles highway was a fun drive, and there were lots of other sight seeing attractive in the area.

A great place to stay! Lee Ann was an awesome host: warm, welcoming, and informative. We stayed in the Pine Room and friends stayed in the Aspen Room. The rooms and amenities are exactly as pictured and described. Really enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, interacting with the horses, and the sweetest dog: Nikki! Close to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Black Elk Peak, Prairie Berry Winery, Miner Brewing, etc... Loved my time here and will definitely look to come back in the future.

My family of 4 including two teenage daughters who live just south of Denver needed a break from all this craziness. We chose the Black Hills because it's fairly close, 6 1/2 hours by car; it's beautiful and not as restrictive as Colorado. The Double Diamond Ranch was a perfect place to base. We stayed 2 nights and brought our small dog.||||It's just off a main road, a few miles outside of Hill City, the owners live in the main house adjoining the two rentals with beautiful surroundings, a creek in the back, horses, geese, deer. There's a convenience store/gas station a 1/2 mile away as well a large Candyland candy store which our kid's enjoyed. There's an outside shared fire pit and hot tub. They have a swing set and basketball hoop. You park on the side of the home.||||The property is pristine, inside and out. We stayed on the second level in the Aspen suite- a large studio with comfy queen bed, 2 tiny pseudo-bedrooms, one with a bunkbed, the other a regular bed, that are situated on either side of the room each with small window. They provide folding partitions for those outlets which our girls liked for privacy. Kitchenette: small fridge with tiny freezer, single sink, no disposal, no dishwasher, stove/oven/large microwave, plenty of utensils and pots/pans.||||Cable TV, large leather sofa, dining table/chairs, gas fireplace, bathroom with tub and walk-in shower. Nicely decorated. A super, private patio looking out back towards nature/creek. The hot tub, bbq are right below.||||The owners are kind, very helpful, down to earth. They breed horses. There were several including two fillies in their pasture. They have two friendly dogs that got along easily with ours. They charge a fee for the dog. You must kennel or crate it if left alone in the apartment.||||In our 2 days we ate out in Hill City at Desperados, grocer there, and Keystone, Powderhorn, near Mount Rushmore. Nice to dine in, food super. I love the rainbow trout. Also, picked up pizza in Keystone. Visited the monument- hardly anyone there, parking free, visitor center closed; towards Rapid City, Bear Country is terrific fun to drive through; stopped at Scandinavian store near the bears; Presidential Wax Museum open in Keystone, lots of shops open, drive through Custer State Park and Iron Mountain Road with the stone tunnels, Crazy Horse monument open, lots to do even during pandemic times.||||Great place to stay; friendly hosts, gorgeous property,...

Our family of four stayed in the Aspen Room. It is a large suite on the second floor of the property, although it feels very private. There is a balcony with stunning views, and plenty of room inside. The beds are tucked into “nooks” which the kids loved. The owner LeeAnn was there to greet us and even made some wonderful cookies to welcome us. They have two sweet dogs. “Nikki” was at our door to greet us every day and loved my kids petting and playing with her. My husband would have coffee sitting with one of their horses “Rocky” each morning. They have horses roaming the property. They are super friendly and will let you come close to pet them. My son enjoyed walking to their creek and playing with the rocks in the water.||We enjoyed all the outdoor activities the area had to offer during the pandemic. Custer state park was beautiful. We took day trips to Deadwood and Spearfish Canyon. We also rented ATVs to explore. So much to do in this beautiful part of the country. You can’t beat the hospitality and all the sweet animals...

Highly recommend this beautiful home. The ad/description didn’t do this house justice! There were not many pictures in the ad, but this house is fabulous! Large and spacious. The scale isn’t imaginable from the photos. Clean. Not cluttered. Kitchen had everything we needed. More immenities than were listed! Weight bench, walk in shower and in-floor radiant heating among them. Deer were on the well-kept lawn almost every day. This home would have been easily accessible for the handicapped - wide hallways, hard flooring in all main areas, etc. LeeAnn was our contact and she took great care of us. Absolutely no issues with the house or our stay. Don’t hesitate - this one...
