Black Hills Coffee Cabin — Restaurant in Hill City

I WOULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!!!!! I’m not sure if it’s the owner or who this person was… but we are from out of state. Drove up and it was easier for myself to order the coffee (passenger side) from how the layout is since one person was at the other window and we had a big trailer hooked up…. Right when we pulled up this lady with glasses and a mean face started shaking her head at us … we smiled though and were super excited for the coffee to try before we left for back home.. instantly SUPER PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE stating the will only serve driver side only… let me warn you there was NO SIGNS stating this at all. There was PLENTY of room for flow of traffic and everything. She stated this and shut the window on us… we were speechless on how RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL this was. if this state was like where we are from I would report this business so fast for the unprofessionalism. If there is another business else where I will warn you this is the drive up one outside Hill City. If you don’t want your mood ruined by this lady… DO...

This was recommended to us by the manager of the EverSpring Hotel in Hill City—"I drive all the way out there when I want coffee"—and it was a great recommendation.

The flavor options were solid, and the gal helping us a the window was very friendly and patient. The value is phenomenal, especially compared to the larger chain coffee spots.

I generally judge a coffee spot by its mocha, so I ordered a 16 oz Mocha. The flavor was perfect, the drink just the right temperature. It was a wonderful place to start our road back home....

First of all, some of the posted photos by other reviewers are not for this drive through only coffee shop. And there is a sign stating that you can use either side of the cabin to order, but on the driver's side only. As for the food and coffee, my breakfast burrito, blueberry muffin and regular coffee were all excellent. And the service I received was also friendly and fast. However, this is mainly a coffee shop with limited food selections, so the reviews that mention things like French toast are not for this quaint...
