This place was so contemporary And matchy/ beautiful but not to the extent that it was over done. they have that silver grayish kind of tone for decorations and all the decor inside was just like the perfect little cozy/trendy /casual yet classy place -down to every detail. They even designed their bookbinders for various authors like Jackie Collins and ones on the other end of the totem pole like opposite of her so I knew that they were designed to match and not the authors original binders. Everybody was very nice ;the workers )and they would go out of their way to be polite and helpful.Businesslike but approachable and friendly. Just professional to the extent of warm but not informal. And they work in the back in the offices .you ring the bell when you need them which seems like a better and more proper system opposed to the staff just sitting there unable to get any work done because people are always walking by and talking to them if they are just sitting at the front. For security reasons they also have you ring a bell or use your hotel key to enter the front door. You also need it to go up into your rooms. They have free Internet and printing although the printing was down and the pool was not open due to the chaos in the world. The gym was open and they had strict regulations on one person at a time. Even the rooms were carefully placed And every fifth room if possible would be filled so there was plenty of safe distancing.I was only there because I just wanted to get some time on my own and clear my head for a couple days and it served it’s purpose. The only thing I would say ,which isnt their fault is I wish there were more things locally than office and electric buildings. Like more store options in walking distance For food or whatever. Especially for the convenience of walking on the beautiful days. But for those drivers -Five minute drive to gas station stores and Home Depot...
Read moreIt was a snowstorm for the record books, not because of the amount of snow, but because of the widespread damage it caused. Thanksgiving Eve 2014 in Southern New Hampshire witnessed one of the top five recorded power outages in the history of the state since records have began being kept. I myself was victim of a powerless house and with temperatures falling below freezing, way below in some parts of town; I needed to find a room on one of th emost sold-out days of hospitality. I drove four minutes from my house at four in the morning after a long night of work in preparations for the holiday weekend. I went into the front doors, thinking to myself this is not going to happen. I met the most amazing front desk clerk I believe I have ever met in my many, and I mean many hotel stays. They had one room available, I was amazed, one room, and I was able to get checked in. Her kind heart and amazing customer service mentality was THE best I have ever experienced. The room was warm, inviting, and super cozy. It may have been because I was exhausted, stressed, emotionally drained, or a combination of all the above but the bed was soothing and relaxing. I had to stay an additional night and by Friday when I had to go back to work to check on some things, I did not want to leave the hotel. I did have to return to reality and the work force and sadly checked out of the most memorable hotel experiences I have ever had, anywhere in the world. I have been to thirty two countries over the past thirteen years so that is saying alot. Best hotel...
Read moreOur room wasn't ready at check in time. When we came back 1.5 hours later we got keys but the cleaning person was still in the room. She did not leave. We had to change clothes with a stranger in the room and the door to the hall wide open. My mother found a red worm (insect) on my bed. I had paid for this room so that I could have peace, quiet, and a private place to dress before the conference I was attending and at which I was doing a professional performance. We had no peace and quiet and certainly zero privacy. When we returned from the conference that evening, I took off my shoes and found that the carpet at the foot of my bed was soaking wet which meant that now my socks were also soaking wet. Because there was no late checkout available to me the next day, we had to pack up (including the wet socks but not the insect) to leave by 7 AM. I told the front desk of the soggy carpet. I don't feel that I got what I paid for which was, again, peace, quiet, and privacy. Instead I got a hassle at check in, a stranger in my room when I needed to get dressed (without having had a chance to relax), and a rush in the morning. The staff welcomed me as an elite member, but did not treat me like one, and I was very disappointed to pay so much money for this...
