I've previously attended a handful of Card Tournaments held here with a few friends and they were okay but the management is truly horrible. Multiple times questions have come up about the tournaments and one of the staff working there would never have an answer, which is fine if they were to go and ask someone who would know. My friends and I were always met with "Well let me ask XXXXX because they don't tell me anything" which is strange considering they are probably 1 of 3 people working whenever we attended. The tough part is they would never ask and we were still stuck with all the same questions.
More recently a prerelease event was held there for the latest set of cards, they had distribution issues but handled everything so poorly. Instead of allowing the people who signed up for the prerelease event and paid the $25 to attend to purchase the product they let random people buy it at a completely different free event. They cancelled the event twice and were hardly communicative about anything. Anytime you call they pick up and state that they know nothing and never let me speak to a manager. I had to eventually call the Concord store to see if I can talk to a manager... They finally get the product in that they said they were allowing people to buy at the prerelease event TWO weeks after the cancelled event, and then when we went to pick it up they weren't allowing us to purchase it and instead holding it for another event where they sold out in...
Read moreMy friends and I drove from far away excited at the reviews, pictures, and being told they had a big selection of singles.
We get there and the worst experience at any store we’ve had before. Never go on Sundays, the guy with the beard who works there is worse than no help. I asked if they had Yugioh singles, he says no so I stop. Minutes later I to hear my friend call me over to check out a whole section of thousands of Yugioh singles to look through.
While just browsing we also heard him giving a customer the worst time over wanting to trade in some cards.
Never coming back again, don’t go it’s not worth your time. Take the extra 10-20 minutes to check out any of the other great collectible stores...
Read moreWould recommend this place to any of my friends who are in the magic cards, Pokémon cards, Comics, Retro video games ect. The employees are extremely friendly and I’ve never felt like there’s any pressure awkward conversation when just stopping by to look at things. They offer surprisingly good trade-in value for collectibles, especially if you take store credit and buy something there. Overall, a great local small business and if you’re reading this, you should absolutely stop in and see...
