If you look at the reviews they are all old over a year and older. We went there on 9/29 and the owner was friendly enough. We took her card and said we would get back to her on 9/30 about the buffet in the back of the store. My husband took a picture of the price with the item name and the sticky note letting you know the dementions. When we got home we measured and realized it would be a good fit. We both agreed that the buffet wasn’t in the best shape the middle two doors didn’t close right and the wood or paint was chipping. I told him it would be worth $200, and my husband said go ahead and make the offer. All she could say was no. Now mind you the sticker on the buffet was $300 and above it it was $400 crossed out which usually means the piece wasn’t moving so they were reducing the price. I called the next day reminding her who we were and what unit we were looking at, she asked if it was gray and I said that I thought it was brown. I got the information from my husband and called her back. I told her the name of the cabinet, the dementions, and the price. She said she had to talk to her son and see which one it was. I said ok and she got back to me and said ok to the $200. I sent her the money by Venmo and confirmed a pick up time for Wednesday. Now I’m under the understanding that this is now my cabinet. She calls me back about a half hour later on a blocked number and tells me she can’t sell me that buffet for $200 because she has it online for $700. Well I went into the store and bought it, I didn’t even know she had a web site. I told her I was sorry but I bought it from the store with a sticker price of $300 and an agreed price of $200, which she was fully paid. Now all of a sudden she is saying she was confused she thought I was talking about the grey one. When I had already told her it wasn’t gray. The dementions on the one I gave her were 84” long and 31 1/2” tall. The gray one she was referring to was about a foot shorter and a foot taller (this is a guess but a good one since I did not actually measure the gray one and only saw it once) and we told her the name and color of the unit when we agreed on the price. I called my husband and he sent me the photos he took the previous evening. I paid in full and scheduled a pick up time. That cabinet was sold to me and I purchased it it in good faith. Now she is telling me it’s online for $700 and she isn’t selling it to me. That she was confused that she was in her car (yet when I spoke to her on the phone she said she was out of breath from walking around) and had to talk to her son. Which she did before I paid for it. He told her the $ amount had been changed. So he had the right cabinet. And it wasn’t gray. But she pretty much accused myself or someone of changing the price except the price that was scratched out was $400 not $700. She was adamant that she was selling it for $700. Tells me that she already has a buyer online. (That’s how Facebook got involved) I told her to call the police because I was leaving with my cabinet because now I was at the store where she actually again accused us of not seeing that the sticker didn’t belong to that unit because it was now curling. I laughed and told her that she or someone in the store took off the sticker and showed her the sticker in the picture and it clearly was quite attached. She yelled to her son asking if he had lifted the sticker and thankfully he didn’t lie, and said yes he did. I told her that I was taking the cabinet that was fully paid for and she refused to let me take it. I told her to call the police once again because I thought I would be protected by them. My attorney had let me know that we had a binding contract. But she lied multiple times saying she was confused, when her son told her which cabinet it was before it was even paid for. The police were angry with me telling me it wasn’t my cabinet. I’m the victim not the store owner. Because she said she was confused. She’s owned that company since it opened, and was confused, please she knew exactly what...
Read moreNever again. I purchased a French Provincial bedroom set (King sized) several years back. I believe she was early on in starting this business. The set was beautiful quality and very old but in great condition. It could have been cleaned up and used as is but I decided to refinish it anyway. I paid a fair, decent price for it. Now fast forward to 2019. There was a bedroom set posted (Full sized) on Facebook so I went in to take a look. Now mind you I have noticed over the last year EVERYTHING that is posted is listed as "high end." Granted some items she gets may have been high end at one time, like my King set probably was 50 some odd years ago, but these items are used. Granted some may still be in excellent condition but they are used. So I went and looked at the Full bedroom set. This was not quality. Very cheaply made, broken in spots and definitely needed refinishing in order to be used. I went in with a number in mind, that number quickly went down when I saw the condition and quality. I still liked the look of the set and was willing to put in the elbow grease for my child. WELL I asked how much and I almost fell over when I was quoted WAY WAY WAY over what I paid for a delivered complete King set! The son, I believe, was the one I was talking to and he called Maria on the walkie talkie to tell her about my previous experience and she very quickly cut him off and in an appalling tone said that the set was HIGH END. That was it for me, you don't speak so nastily in front of customers. This set was not high end and not great quality. I will say it was worth about $300 and she was nowhere near that price. It drove home the point I had been feeling over the past year from seeing all her posts. She has got very greedy and believes her stuff is better than everyone's else's and she deserves top dollar. She charges ridiculous prices for USED furniture and it keeps getting more expensive. And if you buck her on the price she becomes nasty. Your customers are what makes your business run! I will never go back. Ungrateful, undeserving and...
