Where to start... This was a horrible experience. We were a party of 5, 3 adults and 2 kids. We were seated in the "dining room" at a sticky table. The one menu the waitress gave us was wet as we opened it up. The waitress I'm pretty sure was impaired, by some sort of substance. She chewed loudly every time she came to the table, not sure on what. We ordered seltzers with lime and a water to start. She brought the drinks, followed by a cocktail napkin with pieces of lime and lemon on it. She then proceeded to shove a piece of lemon on the glass of water. Order was placed, we asked for hot sauce and she instead offered jalapeños. What?? We ordered a chicken Philly grinder, a hot ham and cheese grinder, chicken marsala, cheese quesadilla, and a Mexican burger. The food arrived fairly quickly, the Philly grinder was decent. The chicken marsala was awful. The chicken appeared gray inside and the gravy, well words can't describe it other than inedible. The ham grinder arrived and it was cold. It came with a side of fries. When asked if they could toast the grinder, the waitress was truly stumped, then proceeded to take a dirty plate from the table and reach for the fries. We all said "no, stop" she then reached to grab the sandwich with her bare hands to put it on the DIRTY plate to take to the kitchen. As we sat in shock I said "no, don't " she was very confused, and again reached for the sandwich at which point I loudly said "Don't touch the food!" She then brought the entire plate back to have it heated. Honestly there is so much more, probably the worst dining experience we have had, and we are not hard to please. We are thankful that no illness has fallen upon us! Please save yourself the pain, drive...
Read moreTO THE LOVELY BARTENDER!!!!: THE DANG DOORS MADE ME FORGET THE TIP!!!!! I went in just now for a pickup order but I always like to tip the bartender anyway. I feel so dumb because in my hand, I legit went in with an extra $5 in to give her along with the $10 cash for the meal (chsburger meal is like 8ish) because the staff are so nice, so $15 just to hand her and take my lil cheeseburgie and go, but I completely forgot and I feel terrible....BECAUSE the DOORS to get in and out are so close together that I knocked my leg and cut it going in....to where I was bleeding all over my WHITE compression sock (wearing shorts). I completely forgot to give her the tip and I even took my change like a ding dong. I understand that take out is a little bit different so one small cheeseburger to-go does not warrant a $5 tip however it was my plan because I love the staff there. I just got so distracted from the CUT because of the doors AND when I walked out my bag and box got squished by the door because there's no possible way you can multi-hold during an exit. I understand the bar has been around forever and it is old but the fact that I was so distracted and embarrassed by cutting my leg on my way in, the bartender did not receive a tip, is embarrassing to me. I have always had issues with those doors being all smushed together but I forgot how terrible they were. No matter what, the staff always deserve a five star review because they are always fantastic and extraordinarily friendly. Ugh I am sorry...
Read moreI'm sure they stay open for the reason, but a friend and I went there for an impromptu breakfast and we nearly walked out before sitting down because of how "yucky" the place was at first glance. But we were fixed for time and we braved ahead. Waitress came with an attitude that we were a nuisance (seriously), and we just asked for coffee and menus. Coffee came (as did the waitress with the once again attitude that we were interrupting her smoke break or otherwise ruining her morning) and again we braved through it. We both mixed our warm coffee the way we typically like it, took a sip or two each, and couldn't put a $5 bill on the table and leave quick enough. So quick in fact, that I left my phone on the table on my awkward trot out of that place. I can't think of a place I can advise more strongly against. It seemed like a breakfast spot meant for the people who closed the bar there the...
