Linda and her husband welcomed us upon our arrival at Little Lodge. Having never stayed there before, we had phoned the morning of our stay to see if they had a vacancy that night for a last minute trip we wanted to make to Lake LBJ during the busy summer season. Their lodge on the lake consists of four or five 1960s era duplex cabins. Although the cabins have not been remodeled to any extent, our room was clean and the beds comfortable. It included a small shower bathroom and a kitchen with dishes, stove and refrigerator. The location is on the shore of the lake and offers a dock for fishing, a small area for swimming, and a boat launch ramp. The grounds were neat and lovely. Each cabin has a barbecue grill and picnic table. We took our kayak, launched there at the ramp, and enjoyed fishing on the lake. The service is friendly and accommodating, but the only tender accepted is cash or check.
The rooms are clean, and I enjoyed the access to the lake where the lodge is located.
My only complaint is everything is pretty much in the original, which is cutely quaint in someways, but the air conditioner in our cabin was simply lousy, and led to an uncomfortable night.
Also, I can imagine when the place is full, it could be loud.
