Westworld Country Inn — Hotel in Hubbard

The rooms and location is extremely old. The door lock mechanism was the first thing I noticed. The deadbolt worked after I lifted the door itself. Makes me really uncomfortable knowing how easily it would be to break in. The next thing was the AC has been working for 3 hours to hit 71. Also, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and that in turn makes the AC work even harder.

The staff was a single lady that sat in a closed door behind the counter. She was polite.

I don’t think there was any food nearby and the swimming pool had little water and something green growing in it.

The linens on the bed smelled moldy and after reading that review about the condom, I was scared to crawl in.

Would recommend for a quick overnight stay such as mine. It is very clean (I checked carefully). It is reasonably priced, though I may have gotten a better price had I booked online. Single room amenities: WiFi, TV, mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer (nice) nightstand, a console with two large drawers, chair, ottoman (nice), shampoo, soap, towels, laminate floors (more hygenic than carpet imo). The a/c unit is powerful. At first I thought there was no bedside light (there was no lamp or sconce), but found the bedside switch to a can light over the bed, so that is fine. Only things I would recommend are a small table that would work with the chair, for eating or working (the console and chair won't work together), and maybe a rack to hang clothes. Needed a place to stay the night in the area to meet someone the next day. No other places to stay close by. Decided to take a chance for $40. I called ahead and told them I would be there around 7 or 8 pm. He asked me if I wanted a non-smoking or smoking room. He said he would turn on the AC ahead of time. Very small motel in quiet area, no water in pool. When we got there it was 98 degrees outside. The room was COLD! The room was new inside, and was plenty roomy with a table and 3 chairs.
