Hubbard City Cafe — Restaurant in Hubbard

If I could give a zero I would ,the waitress was aggressive and rude before we even got through the door. My mother and I have licensed service dogs that we take everywhere. We are very aware of the laws and etiquette required in eating establishments. We were not even greeted or asked if they were service animals and when I offered the proper paperwork to verify such,the waitress simply replied that they were "eating here" . Yes I aware it's a cafe and that's what we were intending on doing. In fact we drove out to Hubbard especially for that reason,having lived out there some years ago and decided to make the trip for memory sake. Never have we been treated so abruptly or with such gall. It's a shame that small businesses can turn away revenue in such a bleak time. It unfortunate that she lacked the skills and charisma associated with small town charm to first greet and seek confirmation but alas we left and won't return no recommend this quaint little establishment again. I ordered six cheeseburgers and tots they were ready by the time I arrived. Everybody greeted me with a beautiful smile. The lady behind the cash register told me they only except cash or check. I had neither so I said I would go get some cash. She said no bother I will pay for it with my cash and run your debit card through my square. I thought that was really nice of her to do. Thank you to whom ever did that for me. Just ordered my usual fried catfish nuggets and I have to say I'm very disappointed. The plate came with catfish, salad rolls and french fries. The fish is under cooked, the rolls are so hard I could only eat the inside and discard the outer, and the french fries still tasted frozen. Who ever made this meal obviously has no pride in what they do. My best advice is to avoid the evening cook and wait staff and stick to the experienced breakfast and lunch gals.
