We were on a 15 day road trip and stayed in many Best Westerns and they were all great. Not this on in Hudson, CO. First major issue is pets. Their website says they do not allow pets. Go to their site under amenities. Yet we saw a dog and heard others. The one we saw was not a licensed therapy dog as it was charging at people and wanting people to pet it. Licensed therapy dogs do not do this. Nor do they bark and yip like the other dogs we heard.
Next our room. The floors were not vacuumed. Crumbs and trash were visible. There is also a visible stains on the floor (see photos). We also wipe the areas down with Lysol wipes and on most hotels you might get a little dust. The wipes in this room of the table were coming back very dirty. Many of the cabinets had visible stains on and the drawers had stains inside them (again see photos).
The bathroom was ok, except the shower. It looked like there was black mold in two of the corners and the floor was very dirty (again see photo). We even had washcloths that should have been thrown out. See the photo of a nice white one next to the brown ones we had in our room.
When we saw the cleaning peopleās cart and vacuum, we understood why. The vacuum looks ancient and way underpowered to clean all the rooms it needs to do (see photos). The cart looked in disarray as well.
Most Best Westerns have a wonderful breakfast area. Not here. They seemed low on everything (they did not even have milk for cereal) and tables were not being wiped down so you could not sit at one when someone was done. Food seemed to be everywhere and no one was wiping or keeping things clean.
Then as we are packing the car, we still had our do not disturb sign up, yet the cleaning person still knocked on our door and asked to come in to clean. This was still over an hour before checkout time.
And last, having to walk in and out of the entrance was almost vomit inducing. There was some horrible smell coming from something but we could never see anything.
I would not recommend this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWould like to warn others who book or are playing to stay at this best western, the room we stayed in has bed bugs. 8/15/25 My family and I booked in little after check in, we realized getting back to our room from dinner the tv wasnāt working, did all the things we thought might help whatever it didnāt work fine no big deal we called front desk the kind women she apologized asked if we wanted to switch rooms, we agreed. As we are going to sleep we seen several bugs crawling across the pillows and bed. Took the video down to the front desk new gal working did happen to catch her name Kim was having a unprofessional loud phone call took her a couple minutes to realize we are standing at the front desk when she gets to the front desk I show her the video and she offers to switch another room which at this point itās 12am we have two kids no thank you. She didnt really act concerned as if they were already aware. Very saddening and disgusting. However Kim did say she would address the issue with her manger tomorrow after we asked for a refund. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe checked in at 2 AM on New Years Day after leaving a NYE party at my brother in law's house and learning part of I-76 was closed, due to a multiple car accident. The rooms are clean, very nice, hygiene amenities were available in room, as well as a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig and multiple coffee and tea pods to choose from. The black Granite counter top was gorgeous! THE BEST PART WAS THE BED!!! The pillow top bed was amazingly comfortable! The bed was supportive, yet soft at the same time! My husband and I slept AMAZING! I am almost positive the ONLY hotel I've ever stayed at with such a comfortable bed is The Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner, Virginia. (For the price of the Ritz Carlton, they better have comfortable beds š) I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN!
THE ONLY SETBACK WAS: I called and specifically asked about a King Suite and was told they had plenty of rooms available. Upon arrival, my husband requested a king suite. We received our key, instructions on the easiest place to park and get to our room, we got to our room and discovered it was a 2 queen room. My husband had to go downstairs and request the correct room. After we got settled in, he went down to buy some Advil, chips and a soda but could not find the desk clerk to...
